Officially activated The Texans restored Quitoriano (knee) to the active roster Thursday.
Impact Quitoriano sustained a knee injury in the preseason and was placed on the Texans' IR ahead of the regular season. The fifth-round rookie was then designated to return to practice Week 7, and he will now be available to play for the first time ahead of Thursday's game against the Eagles. Quitoriano will jostle with Brevin Jordan, O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins for playing time in Houston's crowded tight-end room moving forward.

Impact Quitoriano missed the first six games of the season after being placed on Houston's IR ahead of the regular season. Now, the rookie tight end will have a 21-day window to practice and return to the active roster; otherwise, he will be placed on season-ending IR. Quitoriano's first chance to play will come in Sunday's game against the Raiders, though he may start out in a limited role with tight ends Brevin Jordan, O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins already on the roster.

Impact Quitoriano made his professional debut Friday after being held out of last week's preseason opener. With injuries to tight ends Pharaoh Brown (hamstring) and Antony Auclair (knee), Quitoriano was able to make a case for a spot on the final roster. The fifth-round draft pick is currently listed fourth on the depth chart. H-Town bound The Texans selected Quitoriano in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, 170th overall.
Impact Quitoriano wasn't heavily utilized in the passing game at Oregon State but he was efficient when targeted, catching 40 of 54 career targets for 512 yards and six touchdowns. He has a basketball background and could just be scratching the surface of what he can be on the gridiron. He gives Houston a more conventionally sized option at tight end behind Brevin Jordan.
