INJURIES

Finds end zone again Tonyan caught four of five targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Eagles.
Impact The tight end got into the end zone for a third straight game, hauling in a 25-yard strike from Aaron Rodgers late in the second quarter. Tonyan now has eight TDs this season after scoring only two in 27 games during his first two NFL campaigns, and his odds of extending his scoring streak seem pretty good in Week 14 against a Lions defense that just gave up a touchdown to Bears rookie TE Cole Kmet.

Leads team in receiving Tonyan (ankle) hauled in all five of his targets for 67 yards and a score in Sunday's 41-25 win over Chicago.
Impact Tonyan was late to the scoring party in the one-sided affair, cashing in on a 39-yard score in the third quarter that rescued what would have been a pedestrian outing. The 26-year-old has been a pleasant surprise since taking over as the starting tight end this season, totaling 37 receptions, 458 yards and seven touchdowns through 11 contests. Tonyan remains a fantasy threat so long as he has the trust of Aaron Rodgers, which he continues to build week by week. The rising star will next take on the Eagles, who are allowing 8.9 fantasy points per game to tight ends this year.

Ready for Week 12 Tonyan (ankle) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's contest versus the Bears, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Tonyan was listed as limited on the Packers' first two injury reports of Week 12, but a full session Friday has cleared him for game action. He'll look to take advantage of a Chicago defense that has allowed the sixth-most touchdown catches (six, tied with eight other teams) to opposing tight ends this season.

FANTASY PLAYS: Players to start and sit for NFL Week 12

Two weeks remain in the fantasy regular season, making Week 12 an all-or-nothing proposition for owners scratching and clawing their way into the playoffs
NOVEMBER 26, 2020 • Associated Press
Gets in limited practice Tonyan (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday.
Impact After recording five touchdowns in three games between Weeks 2 and 4, Tonyan was held out of the end zone for five consecutive contests before ending the scoring drought this past Sunday at Indianapolis. He also put up his fourth-most receiving yards (44) and matched his second-most catches (five) in a single game this season. An ankle issue has bothered Tonyan at times throughout the campaign, but he's still managed to log at least 50 percent and up to 73 percent of the snaps on offense across 10 games to date.
NOVEMBER 25, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
First score since Week 4 Tonyan caught all five of his targets for 44 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's loss to the Colts.
Impact Tonyan went five games without finding the end zone, but he snapped that skid early in Sunday's contest, hauling in a 25-yard touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers in the first quarter. Despite the slow stretch, Tonyan now has six receiving scores on the season, which ties him for 11th in the league and third among tight ends. He hasn't provided much help for fantasy players when he hasn't found pay dirt however, as he hasn't racked up the receptions and yardage some of his counterparts have. Tonyan's bound to draw interest in Week 12 as the Packers square off against a Bears defense that ranks bottom 10 against tight ends in just about every scoring format.

Ready for Sunday Tonyan (ankle) doesn't have an injury designation for Sunday's game in Indianapolis, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Tonyan has been listed on the practice report with either a knee or ankle injury for the past month or so, but he's played at least 50 percent of offensive snaps in each of the Packers' nine games this season. Production has been far less consistent than playing time, with Tonyan scoring each of his five touchdowns in a three-game stretch Weeks 2-4. He's averaging only 2.8 catches for 34.8 yards per game in five appearances since his end of his TD streak.
NOVEMBER 20, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Limited practice Thursday Tonyan (ankle) was a limited participant at practice Thursday.
Impact Tonyan's practice reps have been capped for the majority of sessions since the calendar flipped to October, but he's still played at least 50 percent and up to 67 percent of the snaps on offense in each game this season. While he hasn't made a huge impact since scoring five TDs in three games between Weeks 2 and 4 -- a 14-174-0 line on 18 targets the last five contests -- Tonyan is the Packers tight end most likely to make an impact in the box score on a weekly basis.

Gets in limited practice Tonyan (ankle) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact Tonyan has dealt with ankle and knee injuries for a good portion of the season, but his share of the offensive snaps has hovered between 60 and 67 percent for seven of nine outings (he was above 50 percent in the other two). Since he went off for five touchdowns in three games from Weeks 2 through 4, he's been kept out of the end zone while accumulating 14 catches (on 18 targets) for 174 yards across five games. Assuming he's able to suit up, per usual, Sunday at Indianapolis, Tonyan may find it difficult to produce against a Colts defense that has held tight ends to a league-best 4.8 yards per target in 2020.
NOVEMBER 18, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Three catches in win over Jags Tonyan corralled three of his four targets for 33 receiving yards during Sunday's 24-20 win against Jacksonville.
Impact Despite Sunday's matchup being between 6-2 and 1-7 teams, game flow worked surprisingly in favor of Green Bay pass-catchers as the Packers found themselves trailing in the final 10 minutes of regulation. The team attempted 34 passes to 25 combined rush attempts, with Tonyan standing as one of five Packers to generate at least three catches. The Indiana State product has been hit-or-miss this season, with four outings of 50-plus receiving yards and/or a touchdown, but five outings with less than 35 receiving yards and no TD.

Ready to play Sunday Tonyan (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
Impact The 26-year-old was considered questionable after cropping up on the injury report with the knee issue Thursday and missing practice Friday, but he'll take the field against the Jaguars. Tonyan should open the contest as Green Bay's No. 1 tight end, while Jace Sternberger and Marcedes Lewis are next up if he aggravates the injury.

Packers' Lewis ready to face his former team for first time

Green Bay Packers tight end Marcedes Lewis says it took him “about a good year” to get over the way his 12-season tenure with the Jacksonville Jaguars ended
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • Associated Press
Uncertain for Sunday Tonyan (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Jacksonville.
Impact Tonyan appears truly questionable after he was added to the injury report Thursday as a limited participant and then held out of Friday's practice. A 1 ET kickoff makes things a little easier for fantasy managers if it comes down to a game-time decision, allowing for a wide range of alternatives. Teammates Jace Sternberger and Marcedes Lewis could both see extra snaps/targets if Tonyan is out, but neither would be a trustworthy option for fantasy lineups.
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Absent Friday Tonyan (knee) isn't practicing Friday, Olivia Reiner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Impact Added to the Thursday injury report as a limited participant, Tonyan now appears in serious danger of missing Sunday's game against the Jaguars. An absence would free up snaps for Jace Sternberger in passing situations, while Marcedes Lewis could also get more playing time but likely would continue to focus on blocking.
NOVEMBER 13, 2020 • ROTOWIRE
Pops up on injury report Tonyan was limited in Thursday's practice due to a knee injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Tonyan wasn't listed on Wednesday's injury report, so the extent of his participation in Friday's session will warrant close monitoring. The 26-year-old tight end only saw one target during last Thursday's in in San Francisco, his least amount of looks since Week 1.

Packers' Adams delivers again with more help on the way

NOVEMBER 6, 2020 • Associated Press
Limited to one reception Tonyan recorded a five-yard reception on his lone target in Thursday's 34-17 victory over the 49ers.
Impact Tonyan was on the field for 62 percent of the plays the Packers ran, but quarterback Aaron Rodgers leaned on his receivers and running backs in Week 9. Since breaking out for three touchdowns Week 3 against the Falcons, Tonyan has averaged just 35.3 yards per game and hasn't found the end zone. He's still a decent bet to end the scoring drought Week 10, when the Packers face a Jacksonville team that surrendered seven touchdowns to opposing tight ends over six games between Weeks 2 and 7.
