Impact
Williams has been an afterthought in the Dolphins offense through four weeks, ranking fifth on the team in target share behind even running back Myles Gaskin. He has not caught more than two passes in any game this season and his catch rate checks in at just 35 percent. The Dolphins will try to up his involvement in the offense, though part of that will depend on Williams creating separation and presenting a viable target for the quarterback.

Held to one catch versus Seattle
Williams secured one of three targets for 15 yards during Sunday's 31-23 loss to the Seahawks.
Impact
Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick delivered both DeVante Parker and Isaiah Ford double-digit targets, leaving Williams and tight end Mike Gesicki mostly uninvolved in the passing game. Williams hasn't enjoyed much fantasy relevance outside of a Week 3 contest in which he scored (but only managed seven yards). The second-year pro is off to a slow start to the 2020 season, so he'll be difficult to trust for fantasy purposes unless he can string together a few consistent performances.

Catches first TD of season
Williams brought in both his targets for seven yards and a touchdown in the Dolphins' 31-13 win over the Jaguars on Thursday.
Impact
Williams was able to salvage what would have been a complete wash-out of a night for fantasy managers with his three-yard touchdown grab in the first quarter. The Colorado State product has struggled to make an impact in new coordinator Chan Gailey's offense thus far, posting just five catches on 14 targets through three games. The solid amount of looks is encouraging, and Williams may be able to start converting them into better production the more he familiarizes himself with the scheme. He'll look to push his numbers up across the board in a Week 4 home matchup against the Seahawks on Sunday, Oct. 4.

Inefficient with targets again
Williams hauled in one of five targets for 26 yards during Sunday's 33-28 loss to the Bills.
Impact
Among the four targets that Williams failed to secure was a would-be short touchdown, despite Ryan Fitzpatrick putting the ball squarely in his hands. Through two contests the second-year pro has just three catches on 12 targets, a dismal ratio even when factoring in that he's faced two of the league's top defenses (Buffalo and New England). Williams will get a solid opportunity to bounce back against Jacksonville's lackluster secondary in Week 3, but the Dolphins could consider decreasing his role on offense if he continues to struggle.

Quiet in opener
Williams hauled in two of seven targets for 41 yards during Sunday's 21-11 loss to the Patriots.
Impact
Williams wasn't able to make much happen against New England's elite secondary, even with DeVante Parker (hamstring) having been forced off the field during the first half. Still, it's somewhat encouraging that Williams was able to command seven targets in his first return to action since suffering a torn ACL. He'll act as Miami's de facto No. 1 receiver if Parker is forced to miss any more time, though Week 2 will bring another difficult matchup against Buffalo.

Ready for opener
Williams (knee) was a full participant in Friday's practice and does not have an injury designation for Sunday's season opener against the Patriots, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic...
Impact
Williams began the week with back-to-back limited practices and was spotted with a wrap on his surgically repaired left knee, but he's fully expected to suit up Sunday in New England. DeVante Parker (hamstring) and Mike Gesicki (glute) also logged full practices, so Williams will join a Dolphins' receiving corps ready to begin the season at full health.

Suits up for Friday's practice
Williams (knee) participated in Friday's practice, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

Gets in limited work Thursday
The Dolphins listed Williams (knee) as a limited participant in Thursday's practice, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Williams has reportedly remained setback-free since being cleared for full football activities earlier this summer after suffering a season-ending ACL tear midway through his rookie campaign. Though Williams' reps were capped for the second straight day, the Dolphins are believed to just be exercising extra caution with the wideout, who is expected to start opposite DeVante Parker (hamstring) in Sunday's season opener at New England.

Limited in practice
Williams (knee) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Hal Habib of The Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact
Williams put forth a strong training camp and has thus far avoided any setbacks in his recovery from ACL surgery, though the Dolphins have been managing his workload. The second-year pro still looks on track to suit up against the Patriots on Sunday, in which case he'll occupy a starting role across from DeVante Parker (hamstring), but it's possible that he could still have to deal with residual effects of his recovery during the early portions of the season.

ROTOWIRE
Avoiding setbacks so far
Williams hasn't had any issues with his surgically repaired knee during training camp, Joe Schad of the Palm Beach Post reports.
Impact
It's still possible the Dolphins limit his workload early in the season, considering Williams will be only 10 months removed from ACL surgery when the team takes the field for Week 1. He appears on track for the starting job across from DeVante Parker, with both Schad and Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com highlighting Williams as one of Miami's top performers at training camp.
