Impact Jones' yardage total, meager as it was, actually qualified as the second highest for the Jaguars on the afternoon. The veteran continues to see a solid amount of targets -- he's logged at least five in five consecutive contests -- but he's managed 35 yards or less in four of those games. Jones' next opportunity to parlay his looks into more production comes in a Week 11 home matchup versus the 49ers.

Impact Jones committed a painful drop on a play that would have given Jacksonville a third-down conversion, but the Jaguars had so many problems that Jones wasn't particularly high on the list of reasons why they were lit up 31-7 by a mediocre Seattle roster. Even if he's absolved of whatever failures, though, the fact is the Jaguars appear too dysfunctional for Jones to provide consistent returns for his fantasy investors. A big game like in Week 6 against Miami (seven catches for 100 yards and one touchdown on 10 targets) is still possible from Jones, but it's getting more difficult to foresee his better moments. A brutal matchup with Buffalo awaits in Week 9.

Impact Jones bounced back from an inefficient Week 5 performance to reach 100 receiving yards for the first time this season. Jones had recorded only four receptions for 49 yards combined between the team's last two contests, so this was a strong bounce-back performance.

Impact The Jaguars trailed the vast majority of the 37-19 loss and quarterback Trevor Lawrence attempted 33 passes, but rather than Jones or Laviska Shenault (three targets) most of the usage funneled toward Tavon Austin (five targets) and Jamal Agnew (eight targets). It's not a winning blueprint for the Jaguars offense, and they likely understand that any success as a passing game will need to run through Jones and Shenault in upcoming weeks. Whether they can pull it off is a separate question, but the Jaguars will presumably look to get Jones more involved against Miami in Week 6.

The 31-year-old hadn't logged any fewer than eight targets in any of his first three contests, so Thursday's results can certainly be qualified as an outlier, particularly under the circumstances. Jones will look to boost his production back up in a Week 5 divisional battle versus the Titans and help fill the vacuum in production that Chark's absence creates.
