Placed on injured reserve The Dolphins placed Louis (knee) on injured reserve Wednesday.

Impact Louis is set to miss a few weeks due to the knee injury he suffered in last Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Raiders. The Dolphins' defensive back will need to miss at least four games before he can return from IR. With Louis sidelined, Dante Trader is set to be the starting strong safety for the team.

Will miss multiple weeks Louis (knee) will miss a few weeks after exiting Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Raiders early, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Tuesday.

Impact Louis suffered an MCL sprain, and the strong safety will not be able to return to the Dolphins for the Week 2 matchup against the 49ers. The fourth-round rookie was set to be a key piece on both the defensive and special teams units for the Dolphins. In Louis' absence, Julius Wood may be expected to cover some of the young player's responsibilities.

Dolphins will be without Kyle Louis for a few weeks after Week 1 injury The Miami Dolphins got decent news on the Kyle Louis injury front on Tuesday. It wasn't great news, but it could have been worse.

Set to miss at least one contest Louis (knee) is expected to miss the Dolphins' Week 2 matchup against the 49ers, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact Louis suffered a knee injury in Sunday's 27-13 loss to the Raiders, and he will now be sidelined for at least one contest moving forward. The rookie logged three snaps on defense and 14 snaps with the special-teams unit before his departure in Week 1, and his absence will likely have little impact on the team's defensive approach versus San Francisco.

SEPTEMBER 14 • ROTOWIRE

Won't return to Week 1 contest Louis (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's matchup versus Las Vegas, David Furones of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.

Impact Louis was ruled out in the second half Sunday during his NFL debut. His absence will primarily affect Miami's special-teams unit.

SEPTEMBER 13 • ROTOWIRE

Leaves game with knee injury Louis (knee) is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Raiders.

Impact It's unclear when Louis picked up the injury, but he's being evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's contest. Michael Taaffe will be the top rotational option at safety behind starters Dante Trader and Zayne Anderson for as long as Louis is sidelined.
