Suffers apparent ankle dislocation The initial diagnosis is that Allen suffered a dislocated ankle Sunday against the Giants, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact Per Pelissero, the QB's injury includes a small fracture. Assuming that diagnosis is confirmed, Allen will be in line to miss time. In that case, Washington's options to replace him in the coming weeks will be Alex Smith -- who took over for Allen on Sunday -- and Dwayne Haskins.

Knocked from Sunday's game Allen won't return to Sunday's game against the Giants due to a left ankle injury, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact Allen was rolled up on when he was sacked by Jabrill Peppers late in the first quarter, with the latter incurring an unnecessary roughness penalty on the play. The severity of the injury isn't yet known, but Allen will finish the day 5-for-7 passing for 62 yards. Alex Smith has entered in Allen's stead and will have to finish the contest because second-year QB Dwayne Haskins was a healthy scratch.

Throws two TD passes Allen completed 15 of 25 pass attempts for 194 yards and two touchdowns during Sunday's 25-3 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Allen managed a season-best 7.8 yards per attempt while completing a 52-yard touchdown pass to Terry McLaurin and adding a 15-yard strike to Logan Thomas in the second quarter. He wasn't especially productive the rest of the way but didn't need to do much as the Dallas offense struggled both before and after Andy Dalton (concussion) left the game. Allen now has a 4:1 TD:INT to go along with 474 passing yards over the last two games and will look to continue his respectably play next Sunday in another divisional matchup against the Giants.

Impact With his team down 10-0 after one quarter, Allen went to work, helping close the gap to 13-10 by halftime with a pair of 70-yard scoring drives, the latter which he closed with a pretty touch pass to Logan Thomas in the back left corner of the end zone. Allen would then spearhead a third 70-yard march that straddled the closing minute of the third quarter and the first 6:04 of the final period, one that culminated in a game-tying field goal. After committing a crucial fumble that was returned for a touchdown with 3:29 remaining, Allen bounced back in impressive fashion by capping a 75-yard drive with another nifty scoring toss in the left corner of the opposite end zone to Cam Sims with 36 seconds left. However, he wasn't able to convert the subsequent two-point conversion pass attempt, short-circuiting the comeback. Outside of the costly miscue, Allen certainly acquitted himself well from both a real-world and fantasy perspective, leaving him poised to remain in the starting role for a Week 7 divisional battle versus the Cowboys.
