Returns to Washington Osborn re-signed with the Commanders on a one-year contract Thursday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact Osborn only suited up for one regular-season game upon being claimed off waivers by Washington in December, remaining a healthy scratch throughout the playoffs. The veteran wideout will now look to make the most of a full offseason to pick up the team's offensive scheme, with the goal of earning a consistent depth role during the 2025 season.
MARCH 13 • ROTOWIRE
Finishes season with 57 yards Osborn made just one appearance after joining the Commanders in December, finishing the regular season with seven catches for 57 yards and a touchdown on 18 targets.
Impact All of his production came with the Patriots, for whom he played 62-75 percent of snaps in each of the first four games of the season. Osborn's role declined drastically in October, and the Patriots waived him Dec. 10 after a series of healthy scratches. He'll turn 28 in June and is scheduled for unrestricted free agency this offseason, with minimal chance to get significant guaranteed money on his next contract.
JANUARY 28 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy scratch vs. Detroit Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Saturday's divisional-round matchup against the Lions, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Impact Osborn was also a healthy inactive for last weekend's wild-card win over Tampa Bay. The veteran wideout has played just once since being claimed off waivers by the Commanders on Dec.11. Washington's wideout corps against Detroit will consist of Terry McLaurin, Olamide Zaccheaus, Dyami Brown, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey.
JANUARY 19 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday night's wild-card game versus Tampa Bay.
Impact Osborn will take a seat in the first round of the playoffs and his absence won't carry much of an offensive impact on Washington. The Commanders will lean on the likes of Terry McLaurin and Olamide Zaccheaus at wide receiver against the Buccaneers.
JANUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Ready to face Tampa Bay Osborn (illness) is not listed on Wednesday's injury report.
Impact Osborn missed Washington's regular-season finale, a narrow win over the Cowboys, due to an illness, but he's returned to full health ahead of Sunday's road wild-card matchup at Tampa Bay. The veteran wideout joined the Commanders' mid-December but has only suited up for one game with the team, Week 17 versus Atlanta, in which he played 18 offensive snaps and wasn't targeted.
JANUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Not able to suit up in Week 18 Osborn (illness) is inactive for Sunday's game against Dallas, Zach Selby of the Commanders' official site reports.
Impact Osborn appeared on the team's injury report due to an illness Friday, and the ailment is going to sideline the veteran wideout for Washington's regular-season finale. His absence isn't likely to have a significant impact in fantasy, as Osborn was a healthy scratch two straight weeks after joining the Commanders in mid-December before logging 18 offensive snaps last Sunday against Atlanta and coming away with no targets. Luke McCaffrey could see a few more opportunities in the passing game with Osborn out Sunday.
JANUARY 5 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Week 18 Osborn (illness) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Todd Archer of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Claimed off waivers from New England on Dec. 11, Osborn played 19 offensive snaps last Sunday night against the Falcons but wasn't targeted in the passing game. It was his first action with the Commanders after being deemed inactive for Weeks 15 and 16. Osborn has little to no fantasy value for Sunday's regular-season finale should he be cleared to play.
JANUARY 3 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive again Week 16 Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's contest against the Eagles.
Impact Osborn will be a healthy scratch for the second straight week after Washington claimed him off waivers Dec. 11. Though the Commanders placed Noah Brown (kidney) on IR shortly after picking up Osborn, it appears that the latter isn't high enough on the wideout depth chart to be called upon for gameday. Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus, Jamison Crowder and Luke McCaffrey will make up the team's wide-receiver room Sunday.
DECEMBER 22, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy scratch Sunday Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Saints.
Impact The wide receiver was claimed off waivers from the Patriots on Wednesday. Osborn joined Washington after the team learned that Noah Brown would likely miss the rest of the season with a kidney injury, but Dyami Brown, Olamide Zaccheaus and Luke McCaffrey remain ahead of the new addition on the depth chart behind top receiver Terry McLaurin.
DECEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Claimed by Commanders The Commanders claimed Osborn off waivers Wednesday.
Impact The Patriots waived Osborn on Tuesday, moving forward with Kendrick Bourne and a slew of young players in their WR room. The Commanders jumped at the opportunity to add a veteran WR with considerable starting experience, having recently learned that Noah Brown is likely to miss the rest of the season with a kidney injury. Osborn doesn't profile as a one-for-one replacement, but he could end up being part of the plan to replace Brown, potentially splitting snaps with Olamide Zaccheaus, Dyami Brown and Luke McCaffrey behind No. 1 receiver Terry McLaurin.

DECEMBER 11, 2024 • THESTATE.COM
Cut loose by New England The Patriots will waive Osborn on Tuesday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact After joining New England on a one-year deal in the offseason, Osborn played at least 60 percent of the offensive snaps in each the Patriots' first four games of the season but recorded just five receptions for 31 yards and no touchdowns on 13 targets. The Patriots have largely phased him out since Week 5, as Osborn has been active for just three of the team's last nine games while notching two receptions for 26 yards and a touchdown on five targets during that span. With Osborn's outlook for playing time unlikely to improve coming out of a Week 14 bye, the Patriots are opting to part ways with the veteran wideout, who will now have the opportunity to catch on elsewhere before the season comes to a close.
DECEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Healthy scratch for Week 13 Osborn (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Impact For the third week in a row, Osborn will be a healthy scratch as the Patriots roll with a wide receiver corps of DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker. Osborn's next opportunity to play will be Week 15 agains tthe Cardinals on Sunday, Dec. 15.

Impact With Osborn a healthy scratch for the second straight game, the Patriots' Week 12 wideout corps will be comprised of DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker.
NOVEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Osborn is inactive for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Impact With Osborn a healthy scratch Sunday, the Patriots' Week 11 wideout corps will be comprised of DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk, Kendrick Bourne and Javon Baker.
NOVEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No catches Sunday Osborn logged 29 of a possible 64 snaps on offense in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Bears, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact After being a healthy scratch in Week 9, Osborn returned to the mix Sunday, while finishing second among New England's wideouts in terms of snaps. However, Osborn didn't catch his only target in the contest, and unless his volume picks up in the coming weeks, he'll remain off the fantasy radar.
NOVEMBER 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back in lineup Sunday Osborn is active for Sunday's game against the Bears.
Impact Osborn was a healthy scratch in Week 9, but following the NFL trade deadline he remains in the Patriots' wideout mix. However, with DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte and Kendrick Bourne likely slated to lead the team's Week 10 WR corps, Osborn isn't a high-percentage fantasy option.
NOVEMBER 10, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive Sunday Osborn is inactive for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Impact With Osborn and Tyquan Thornton not playing Sunday, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Kendrick Bourne, Ja'Lynn Polk and Javon Baker are available to handle the Patriots' Week 9 wideout duties. With the NFL trade deadline looming, it's possible that Osborn could be on the move in the coming days.

Finds end zone Osborn recorded two receptions on three targets for 26 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars.
Impact Osborn looked to be phased out of the New England offense, as he failed to log a snap in Week 6. However, he managed to make an impact Sunday with DeMario Douglas (illness) held out for much of the second half and Ja'Lynn Polk continuing to struggle. Osborn's primary impact came midway through the fourth quarter when he hauled in a 22-yard touchdown reception. He'll likely return to a minimal role in Week 8 against the Jets, though it will be worth monitoring the health of the Patriots' other pass catchers.

No snaps in Week 6 Osborn was active for Sunday's 41-21 loss to the Texans, but didn't play in the contest, Doug Kyed of the Boston Herald reports.
Impact Osborn, who was inactive in Week 5 due to a shoulder injury, was limited in practice last week, but he ended up in uniform Sunday, with Tyquan Thornton and Javon Baker being healthy scratches versus Houston. While Osborn didn't see any snaps in the contest, DeMario Douglas, Kayshon Boutte, Ja'Lynn Polk and Kendrick Bourne handled New England's WR duties. Perhaps once Osborn distances himself further from his shoulder issue, he'll find himself back in the rotation, but for now he's off the fantasy radar.
