Impact Hodge played just 12 offensive snaps, fourth among Atlanta's wideouts, but he finished second on the team in receiving yards behind rookie first-round pick Drake London, who caught eight of 12 targets for 86 yards and a score. Hodge has carved out a clear role in the Falcons' passing attack and has secured five of six targets for 95 yards across his first two games with Atlanta.

Impact Hodge was signed by the Falcons this offseason after catching 13 of 27 targets for 157 yards across 16 games for the Lions last season. Atlanta made numerous moves to address its wideout corps, so he was expected to have stiff competition for a roster spot. Regardless, he appears to be standing out, as Bair relays that Hodge frequently is working with the first team and has put together a solid training camp. Hodge played 10 snaps (eight offensive) during the first quarter of Atlanta's preseason opener, catching his only target for 12 yards, and hit the sidelines with the rest of the starters, another sign he's trending towards being a lock for the initial 53-man roster.

Hodge joins an Atlanta wideout corps currently headed by Olamide Zaccheaus, but the team is far from done in terms of adding depth at the position. With that in mind, it remains to be seen where Hodge settles into the equation for targets, but as things stand, he should have an opportunity to compete for a role in the Falcons offense, which is now helmed by QB Marcus Mariota.

Impact After a big day in Seattle in Week 17, Hodge returned to more of a special-teams role with Josh Reynolds reinstated from the COVID list. This was nothing new for him, considering he only topped 13 percent of the offensive snaps in one game following Detroit's Week 9 bye. As a result, Hodge will finish the 2021 campaign with 13 receptions on 27 targets for 157 scoreless yards. The Alcorn State product is now set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the league year with no certainty that he will return to Detroit in 2022.

Impact The 76 yards are a career high for Hodge, who stepped into a starting role with Josh Reynolds and Kalif Raymond unavailable.
