Considered week-to-week Coach John Harbaugh said Monday that Mitchell avoided a substantial hamstring strain during Sunday's game versus Detroit and is week-to-week, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.

Impact It's somewhat relieving news for Mitchell, who played his first two offensive snaps at the NFL level in Week 7 versus the Lions before leaving with a hamstring injury. There is an outside chance he could return to action as soon as Sunday at Arizona.

Impact Mitchell did not play an offensive snap during his season debut last week against Tennessee. The undrafted rookie did log the first carry of his NFL career for nine yards during Sunday's contest, though it appears he sustained some sort of hamstring injury during the second half. With Baltimore up by more than four scores in the fourth quarter, it's unlikely that Mitchell will return even if he is able to overcome this hamstring injury. If he does not return, his next chance to play would come Sunday, Oct. 29 versus Arizona.

No offensive snaps in debut Mitchell played zero offensive snaps in his NFL debut in Sunday's 24-16 win over the Titans.

Impact The rookie was activated off injured reserve in advance of Sunday's game after missing the first five games of the season with a shoulder injury. Mitchell was unable to leverage his activation into a role on offense, however, as he only saw the field on special teams. Per Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com, head coach John Harbaugh believed Mitchell "played well on special teams," adding that offensive coordinator Todd Monken "will be looking for opportunities to get [Mitchell] involved" moving forward. Baltimore's leading rushers on Sunday -- Gus Edwards and Justice Hill -- mustered 41 and 35 yards, respectively, so neither player may have gained much separation from Mitchell on the depth chart.
