Gets two-year deal with Chargers
Mitchell agreed to terms Thursday on a two-year, $9.25 million contract with Los Angeles, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
Impact
Mitchell brings his talents to a backfield already led by Omarion Hamption and No. 2 back Kimani Vidal. Across three seasons with Baltimore, the 24-year-old logged a total of 112 carries for 767 yards and three touchdowns, averaging an impressive 6.34 YPC. While the Hampton and Vidal represent difficult competition for Mitchell to earn depth opportunities, he seems a strong fit for new offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel's scheme and will be a sleeper candidate to impress with the Chargers.

ROTOWIRE
Not tendered by Ravens
The Ravens aren't placing atender on Mitchell, allowing him to become an unrestricted free agent, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Mitchell went undrafted back in 2023, which means his original-round tender ($3.7 million) as a restricted free agent wouldn't have entailed any draft compensation. The Ravens could still have interest in re-signing Mitchell under different terms, given that he averaged 5.1 carries for 30.3 yards (5.9 YPC) over the final 11 games of last season. Derrick Henry will return as Baltimore's lead runner, while passing-down specialist Justice Hill has been mentioned as a potential cap casualty (something that may or may not change if Mitchell leaves).

Gets back on track in 2025
Mitchell finished the season with 59 carries for 341 yards and a touchdown while adding nine catches for 63 yards on 12 targets over 13 games.
Impact
This was a bounce-back season for Mitchell, who was limited to just five games in 2024 after recovering from a knee injury suffered as a rookie. Mitchell was inactive as a healthy scratch for the first month of the season before getting into the mix for the rest of the season. Though Mitchell never garnered more than nine carries in any game, he was effective with his chances by sustaining a 5.8 YPC figure over 59 rushes. He seemed to regain his speed with four carries of at least 20 yards. Mitchell enters the offseason as a restricted free agent, meaning the Ravens will be able to offer him various types of qualifying offers. Derrick Henry and Justice Hill are both under contract for 2026, however.

Earns11 touches
Mitchell rushed the ball nine times for 31 yards in Saturday's 41-24 win over the Packers. He added two receptions on two targets for seven yards.
Impact
Derrick Henry headlined the Baltimore offense and dominated touches out of the backfield, though Mitchell continued to serve as the complementary back. Mitchell reached double-digit touches for the first time this season in a run-heavy game script for Baltimore, though it still wasn't a particularly noteworthy fantasy performance. He could get some additional opportunity in Week 18 if the Ravens are eliminated from playoff contention.

Good to go Week 17
Mitchell (calf) was a full participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact
Mitchell was limited in Tuesday's walkthrough practice due to a calf injury, but his ability to log a full session Wednesday puts him on track to play against the Packers on Saturday. The third-year pro has served in a backup role in the backfield behind Derrick Henry, though the former has logged at least eight carries in each of the Ravens' last two games. Mitchell has turned 48 carries into 308 yards and a touchdown while adding seven catches (on 10 targets) for 56 yards across 11 regular-season games.

ROTOWIRE
Tending to calf injury
Mitchell was a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice due to a calf injury, Jonas Shaffer of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.
Impact
The Ravens didn't indicate that Mitchell sustained any sort of injury in this past Sunday's 28-24 loss to the Patriots, so the running back's limited session Tuesday could be indicative of an in-practice setback. Regardless, the Ravens will give Mitchell a chance to potentially maintain or increase his practice activity on two more occasions before deciding whether he takes a designation into Sunday's game at Green Bay. If Mitchell isn't available this weekend, Rasheen Ali would have the change-of-pace role all to himself behind Baltimore lead back Derrick Henry.
