INJURIES

Bound for IR The Lions are expected to place Raymond (foot) on injured reserve prior to Thursday's game against the Bears, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Raymond had been listed as a non-participant on the Lions' first two Week 13 practice reports, and head coach Dan Campbell intimated Tuesday that he wasn't confident the wideout would be ready to play Thanksgiving Day. Campbell also added that Raymond was scheduled to receive a second opinion on the foot injury he sustained in Sunday's win over the Colts, and the receiver's expected move to IR suggests the Lions weren't overly encouraged by his prognosis. On a positive note, Rapoport adds that Raymond is still expected to return for the playoffs at the very latest, and he might be ready to come off IR when first eligible in Week 17. Raymond's expected absence for the next few weeks should open more reps for Allen Robinson as the Lions' No. 4 receiver behind Amon-Ra St. Brown (knee), Jameson Williams and Tim Patrick.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
In jeopardy of missing Week 13 Raymond (foot) did not participate in Tuesday's walkthrough.
Impact Raymond suffered a foot injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 24-6 win over the Colts. Head coach Dan Campbell relayed Tuesday that he doesn't feel good about Raymond's chances of playing Thursday against the Bears, and the team is waiting on a second opinion for the 30-year-old wideout's foot injury, per Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press. Raymond has served as the Lions' primary punt returner this season and has registered 390 punt return yards and one touchdown while adding 16 catches (on 21 targets) for 204 yards and two touchdowns across 11 regular-season games. Amon-Ra St. Brown, Khalil Dorsey and Craig Reynolds would be the top candidates to take over punt return duties should Raymond be sidelined.
NOVEMBER 26, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Estimated as DNP Raymond (foot) was listed as a non-participant on Monday's practice estimation, Tim Twentyman of the Lions' official site reports.
Impact The 30-year-old exited Detroit's Week 12 win over the Colts after sustaining a foot injury in the third quarter, so Monday's estimated DNP comes as no surprise. Raymond will likely have to practice in some capacity in order to suit up for Thursday's game against the Bears. If he's unable to do so, Amon-Ra St. Brown will likely serve as the Lions' top punt returner.
NOVEMBER 25, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Will not return Sunday Raymond (foot) has been downgraded to out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact The wide receiver and punt returner got injured on a third quarter punt return. Raymond did not catch his only target on the day before exiting, though he did return two punts for 30 yards. Allen Robinson might see more snaps in his absence.
NOVEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Injures foot Sunday, iffy to return Raymond is questionable to return to Sunday's Week 12 matchup against Indianapolis due to a foot injury, Nolan Bianchi of The Detroit News reports.
Impact Raymond's injury occurred on a third-quarter punt return. He got one target (which he didn't catch) in addition to returning two punts for 30 yards prior to his exit. If Raymond can't get back into the game Sunday, Allen Robinson could see more snaps on offense.
NOVEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Two catches in Week 11 Raymond caught both of his targets for 30 yards in Sunday's 52-6 win over Jacksonville.
Impact Raymond was able to secure a pair of catches after going without a reception in Week 10 against the Texans, notching his highest yardage total since Week 7. The wide receiver continues to operate as a small piece in a massively successful Detroit offense, reeling in 16 catches for 204 yards over 10 games in 2024.
NOVEMBER 18, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Absent from injury report Raymond (cramps) was not listed on Detroit's injury report Thursday.
Impact Raymond left Sunday's game against the Texans due to cramps, but it's not an issue that will jeopardize his chances of playing against the Jaguars in Week 11. Through nine regular-season games, Raymond has logged 14 catches (on 17 targets) for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
NOVEMBER 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable to return Sunday night Raymond (cramps) is questionable to return to Sunday night's game against the Texans, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
Impact Detroit's punt returner returned three on the evening for 15 total yards. Raymond has 330 punt return yards and a touchdown this season, as well as 14 catches for 174 yards and two scores. Craig Reynolds is Detroit's backup kick returner to Khalil Dorsey.
NOVEMBER 11, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
One catch in Week 9 Raymond caught his only target for 12 yards while also recording a loss of 12 yards on a carry in Sunday's 24-14 win over the Packers.
Impact Raymond was unable to make it three games in a row with a receiving touchdown, seeing just one target while playing 21 offensive snaps in Week 9. The wide receiver didn't see a major bump in usage over the last two weeks with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable, reeling in all three of his targets for 26 yards and a touchdown. With Williams set to return in Week 10, Raymond will revert back to being the No. 3 option at wide receiver with Detroit moving forward.

Scores twice in Week 8 Raymond caught both of his targets for 14 yards and a touchdown while also notching a 90-yard punt return touchdown in Sunday's 52-14 win over the Titans.
Impact Raymond was expected to take on a larger offensive workload with Jameson Williams (suspension) unavailable and he made the most of his limited touches in Week 8. The wide receiver opened the scoring in the second half, returning a punt for a score, before later adding a seven-yard touchdown reception in the third quarter. Raymond will have one more opportunity to step up in the absence of Williams in Week 9 versus the Packers.

Role could increase sans Williams Raymond could be the beneficiary of increased snaps with Jameson Williams serving a two-game suspension and set to miss contests Sunday against the Titans and in Week 9 at Green Ba...
Impact Amon-Ra St. Brown remains locked in as the Lions' No. 1 wideout, but Williams' absence will likely free up more snaps and perhaps an extra target or two for the likes of Raymond, Tim Patrick and Allen Robinson, while tight end Sam LaPorta could also see more involvement in the passing game after a slow start to the season. The 5-foot-8, 180-pound Raymond -- who clocked a 4.34-second 40-yard dash time coming out of college in 2016 -- is probably the Lions' best option to replace the downfield routes and gadget plays that were often designed for Williams, though Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson may not dial up those kind of play calls as frequently with Williams out of the lineup. While playing fewer than 40 percent of the snaps in both of the past two weeks, Raymond was able to make an impact during his limited time in the field, recording seven catches for 112 yards and a touchdown on 10 targets.

Lions need to keep getting big plays in all phases to win the tough NFC North

Detroit Lions coach Dan Campbell says his team executed in all three phases when trailing by one point late against the Minnesota Vikings in what became a 31-29 victory
OCTOBER 21, 2024 • Associated Press
Notches first touchdown of 2024 Raymond caught three of four targets for 39 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 31-29 win over the Vikings.
Impact Raymond found the end zone for the first time in 2024, notching a 21-yard score in the third quarter. The wide receiver has now caught seven passes for 112 yards and a touchdown over the last two weeks after having just four receptions for 36 yards in the team's four games prior. Raymond will look to keep it up in Week 9 when the Lions host the Titans.
