Catches passes on rehab field Ross (hamstring) ran and caught some passes on a side field during Thursday's practice, Zack Rosenblatt of The Newark Star-Ledger reports. Impact The oft-injured wideout has been sidelined by a hamstring injury ever since his early departure from practice Aug. 9. Ross will miss the entire preseason, and it's even possible he could miss out on a roster spot despite getting $1 million guaranteed on his one-year, $2.25 million contract with the Giants. Even if he sticks with the team and continues to make progress with the hamstring, Ross is unlikely to be any more than the fourth or fifth wide receiver for Week 1.
