Jauan Jennings - NFL News, Rumors, & Updates

Won't play in Week 9 Jennings (calf) has been ruled out for Monday's contest versus the Bills.

Impact Per head coach Kevin O'Connell, Jennings suffered a calf injury at Thursday's practice that is serious enough to sideline him for at least one game. Jennings' next chance for game action is Sunday, Nov. 15 in Green Bay, while Tai Felton and Myles Price are in for some offensive snaps this week behind the top WR duo of Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison.

DNP Friday Jennings (calf) did not participate in Friday's practice.

Impact Jennings downgraded his practice participation Friday after being limited in Thursday's session. The wide receiver will likely need to show up in some capacity Saturday for a chance to suit up for Monday night's primetime showdown with the Bills.

Limited by calf injury Jennings (calf) was limited in Thursday's practice.

Impact It's a new injury for Jennings, but he has an extra day to recover this week, as the Vikings play the Bills on Monday night. Jennings has six grabs for 54 yards on 10 targets across six games this season and is nowhere near fantasy relevance in his current role.

Two grabs in Week 8 loss Jennings caught both of his targets for 11 yards in Sunday's 19-15 loss to the Lions.

Impact The Vikings' third receiver, Jennings ran 20 route on Kyler Murray's 33 dropbacks, playing behind both Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Jennings' name has been linked to trade speculation but recently declined a deal to San Francisco after the two teams agreed to trade parameters. Jennings has six grabs for 54 yards on 10 targets across six games this season.

Impact The Niners have obvious gaps in their wide receivers corps with so many injuries and Jennings clearly knows Kyle Shanahan's system. But Jennings also left on somewhat acrimonious terms due to his contract situation before becoming a free agent.

Produces 34 yards in Week 7 win Jennings caught two of three targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 16-10 win over the Colts.

Impact The veteran wideout entered Week 7 with just two catches for nine yards across four games, so this counts as a breakout game for Jennings. He's running plenty of routes alongside Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison at receiver, but Jennings is deep down the list for targets in Minnesota. He's not a recommended fantasy play for next Sunday against the Lions' leaky secondary.

Doesn't catch only target Sunday Jennings did not reel in his only target during Sunday's 23-13 win at New Orleans.

Impact Jennings again got the second most snaps at wide receiver for the Vikings (47) in Week 5 with Jordan Addison (hamstring) out, but it only translated to one target on the afternoon. Jennings has failed to draw more than two targets in any game so far this season, and his role could be further diminished after Minnesota's bye in Week 6 if Addison is able to return to action.

Remains quiet despite no Jefferson Jennings caught his lone target for eight yards in Sunday's 15-10 win over the Dolphins.

Impact Despite Justin Jefferson (ankle) missing Sunday's game, Jennings remained a non-factor on offense, as he took a distant back seat to all three of T.J. Hockenson, Jordan Addison and Aaron Jones. Jennings has two catches for nine yards on four targets across 152 offensive snaps through three games this season. He's well off the fantasy radar.

Opportunity boost likely Sunday Jennings is in line to see a boost in targets as the Vikings' No. 2 receiver for Sunday's Week 4 matchup against the Dolphins, due to Justin Jefferson (hamstring) being ruled inact...

Impact Jennings' Vikings tenure has gotten off to an utterly forgettable start, as the veteran receiver has just one reception for one yard on three targets through two games. While Jennings was unable to capitalize on Jefferson's early exit from a Week 3 win over the Buccaneers, the former did log a season-high 47 snaps and ran 24 routes during the contest. Both numbers -- along with Jennings' target share -- will be in line to increase against Miami with Jefferson out, although the possibility Minnesota eventually has the luxury of turning to a run-heavy approach in the second half is also high considering the generally uncompetitive current state of the Dolphins.

Logs just one catch despite Jefferson injury Jennings caught one of two targets for one yard Sunday in a 23-16 win against Tampa Bay.

Impact Although Justin Jefferson (ankle) departed in the first half Sunday and didn't return, Jennings didn't see an increase in his production. He did, however, post an 80 percent offensive snap share, and Jennings figures to slide into the No. 2 wideout role alongside Jordan Addison on Sunday versus Miami if Jefferson can't suit up. Even with that in mind, Jennings has produced just one catch on three targets through two contests, so expectations should be held in check regardless of Jefferson's status.
