Impact Robinson split carries with Travis Etienne Jr. (eight carries for 32 yards), and neither back finished with a catch. Robinson has been the unexpected workhorse for Jacksonville early on, and this was his first dud of the season. However, Sunday's even touch distribution between both backs in a rough offensive showing may spark pessimism about Robinson's season-long outlook. Etienne hasn't done much to threaten Robinson's starting job, so the latter should still be considered the lead back heading into a favorable matchup against Houston next Sunday.

Reaches century mark Sunday Robinson carried the ball 17 times for 100 yards and a touchdown and caught all three of his targets for 16 yards in Sunday's 38-10 win over the Chargers.

Impact The third-year running back likely would have posted even bigger numbers, but he ceded work to Travis Etienne late in a blowout win. A big chunk of Robinson's production came on a 50-yard TD scamper in the third quarter that broke the game open, marking the third straight game in which he's found the end zone. As long as he keeps impressing, he should remain atop the depth chart despite Etienne's first-round pedigree, and Robinson could see a heavy workload in Week 4 as the Jaguars try to keep Jalen Hurts and the explosive Eagles offense off the field.

Impact Robinson was reportedly set to be in a timeshare with Travis Etienne, yet he earned 25 touches to Etienne's 12. Unfortunately, Robinson wasn't particularly efficient with his opportunity, though he did rip off a 37-yard touchdown run midway through the second quarter. Through two games, Robinson has clearly operated as the top back in Jacksonville's backfield and has 147 total yards and three touchdowns to show for it.

Impact Game flow will likely dictate the extent to which both Robinson and Etienne are used, but the Jaguars seem content to have a roughly even timeshare in place for the second week in a row. Should be ready Week 1 Coach Doug Pederson said Thursday that he expects Robinson (Achilles) to be ready for Week 1 against Washington, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.

Impact Pederson did also say the team wants to be cautious, which perhaps explains why Robinson hasn't yet progressed to full-speed 11-on-11s in practice. He'll be held out of Saturday's preseason game against Pittsburgh, but don't be surprised if the running back is back to full practice participation as soon as next week. It's hard to say what Robinson's Week 1 role will look like if he's deemed ready, as 2021 first-round pick Travis Etienne is poised to lead the Jacksonville backfield after missing his rookie year with a Lisfranc injury.

Impact Robinson sustained a partial tear of his left Achilles back on Dec. 26, but he made enough progress in his recovery that he avoided the PUP list entirely at the start of training camp. Since then, he's been ramping up his workload slowly but surely, getting occasional reps with the first-team offense, but he wasn't available for either of the Jaguars' first two preseason games. The third-year running back has two more chances to make an appearance during exhibition season (this Saturday against the Steelers and Saturday, Aug. 27 in Atlanta). Ultimately, though, the team likely will exercise the utmost caution until Robinson proves he's 100 percent. In the meantime, Travis Etienne should continue to operate as Jacksonville's top running back.
