Totals 90 yards Robinson carried the ball 16 times for 62 yards in the team's Week 1 contest against the Colts. He also added one reception for 28 yards.

Impact Robinson was clearly atop the depth chart, as no other running back tallied a carry. While largely unspectacular, Robinson picked up chunk yardage early in the game. His efficiency waned as the contest moved on, though he managed to total 90 yards on 17 combined touches. With the Jacksonville depth chart still murky behind Robinson, he should in line for plenty of touches once again in Week 2 against the Titans.

Impact An undrafted rookie out of FCS Illinois State, Robinson saw his hopes of making Jacksonville's roster improve following the Aug. 31 release of Leonard Fournette. He then made further headway up the depth chart when Ryquell Armstead was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Sept. 4 and when Devine Ozigbo (hamstring) was placed on injured reserve. Since neither Armstead nor Ozigbo has much of a track record at the NFL level and because the only other two other backs on the roster (Chris Thompson and Dare Ogunbowale) are better suited for third-down roles, Robinson could cement himself as the Jaguars' top option on the ground if he shines out of the gate in his NFL debut. Ozigbo won't be eligible to return until Week 4, while head coach Doug Marrone recently said Armstead is without a clear timeline to resume playing.

With Ryquell Armstead on the reserve/COVID-19 list and out indefinitely, Robinson -- who is listed atop the team's posted depth chart -- figures to head an early season backfield committee that will also employ Chris Thompson in passing situations. Although weekly game flows may not always favor Robinson, the opportunity now in front of the undrafted rookie makes him worth picking up in fantasy leagues where he's still a free agent.

Impact In the wake of Ryquell Armstead being placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list for the second time, coach Doug Marrone wasn't able provide a timetable for the running back's return during media availability Monday. As a result, the remaining trio of Robinson, Devine Ozigbo and Chris Thompson will get the first opportunity to contribute out of a Jaguars backfield without Leonard Fournette, who was waived last week. Robinson is an undrafted rookie, but considering he averaged 21.9 carries and 123.3 rushing yards per game in his final two seasons at Illinois State, he can handle a large workload if called upon. It appears he'll have the chance to do just that Sunday against the Colts.

Robinson, an undrafted rookie, has been a pleasant surprise for the team, and it's plausible that he'll be part of an early-down rotation Week 1, possibly with Devine Ozigbo, while veteran Chris Thompson provides a change-of-pace/pass-catching presence.

Impact Robinson saw the path to a backfield gig open up earlier this week when the Jaguars waived Leonard Fournette. With Ryquell Armstead (illness) subsequently having been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the undrafted rookie out of Illinois State could even be facing some early-season opportunity. In the event that Armstead isn't able to gain full clearance before Sept. 13's season-opener against the Colts, Robinson could end up in the backfield mix behind Chris Thompson and Devine Ozigbo.

The practice squad seemed more likely as recently as a few days ago, but things opened up after the Jaguars waived Leonard Fournette. While Ryquell Armstead, Chris Thompson and Devine Ozigbo are all better bets to get playing time on offense early in the season, it won't come as any surprise if Robinson gets a shot at some point this year.
