Done for the day
Hyatt departed Tuesday's mandatory minicamp practice early due to an apparent left leg injury, Dan Duggan of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Hyatt had his left leg stretched by a trainer after exiting a practice drill early, then exchanged words with head coach Brian Daboll. The 2023 third-round pick has benefited from extra first-team reps with new quarterback Russell Wilson to start minicamp, with Malik Nabers (toe) still limited, it's notable that Hyatt is now being forced to miss some practice opportunities even if his injury is minor. Across 33 regular-season games played since entering the NFL, Hyatt has totaled 31 catches for 435 yards and zero touchdowns on 59 targets. He will have two more chances to get back on the field before minicamp wraps up Thursday.

Regresses in second NFL campaign
Hyatt caught eight of 19 targets for 62 yards over 16 regular-season games in 2024.
Impact
Though he struggled to produce as a rookie in 2023, Hyatt at least showed some flashes of potential. That wasn't really the case in 2024, as more than half of his season yardage total came in a Week 10 game against Carolina in which he posted a modest 39 receiving yards, and he didn't reach double-digit yards in any of his other 15 appearances. While the Giants didn't have a prolific passing game, it's illogical to attribute Hyatt's lack of growth entirely to the team's QB situation, as rookie sensation Malik Nabers managed 109 catches for 1,204 yards in the same offense. New York will likely have a new starting signal-caller in 2025, and veteran wideout Darius Slayton may not be back, which could improve Hyatt's outlook to some extent. However, Nabers will likely command a huge target share again in his sophomore campaign while Wan'Dale Robinson is set to return as the team's No. 2 receiver, which would leave Hyatt -- who will be in the third year of his rookie contract -- battling for looks as the third or fourth option in the WR pecking order.

Not targeted over 20 snaps Sunday
Hyatt did not receive a target in Sunday's 35-14 Week 15 loss to the Ravens.
Impact
Hyatt's 20 offensive snaps were fourth-most among Giants wideouts, well behind Malik Nabers (64), Wan'Dale Robinson (52) and Darius Slayton (46). Hyatt wasn't able to draw a target while he was on the field, marking the third time over his past five games that he hasn't had a ball thrown his way. Given his paltry production this season and low standing on the depth chart, as well as the overall struggles of New York's passing game, Hyatt is off the fantasy radar in virtually all formats.

Tallies two catches Thursday
Hyatt recorded two catches on two targets for eight yards against the Cowboys in Thursday's Week 13 loss.
Impact
Hyatt, Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson each finished with two catches for New York, and none of them had more than eight receiving yards. Only Malik Nabers, who posted eight catches on 13 targets for 69 yards, was able to put up substantial numbers among the team's wideout corps. Hyatt's paltry reception and yardage totals were his second-highest of the season, which highlights how unproductive he's been this year.

Has best game of season in Week 10
Hyatt totaled four catches on four targets for 39 yards in Sunday's overtime loss to Carolina in Germany.
Impact
Coming into Sunday, Hyatt had managed just one catch on eight targets for six yards on the campaign. The second-year wideout finally put together some meaningful production against the Panthers, ranking third on the Giants in receiving yards while tying for third in receptions. Nearly half of Hyatt's yardage came on a 19-yard deep catch down the middle in the second quarter, though he also drew a pass-interference penalty in the first period that netted New York 43 yards. It's also worth noting that quarterback Daniel Jones turned to Hyatt three times with less than two minutes remaining in the fourth, and Hyatt caught all three of his targets on that drive to help set up a game-tying Graham Gano field goal. Hyatt's performance could lead to more looks in the passing game following the team's Week 11 bye, but he probably isn't going to reach the 73 percent offensive snap share he logged Sunday if all three of the receivers above him in the pecking order -- Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton (who was sidelined against Carolina due to a concussion) and Wan'Dale Robinson -- are healthy.

Could replace Slayton in Germany

Impact
After sustaining a concussion in last weekend's loss to the Commanders, Slayton didn't practice in any fashion Wednesday or Thursday. The Giants' traveling party will leave for Germany later Thursday, so assuming Slayton stays behind, Hyatt would be the next man up to join Malik Nabers and Wan'Dale Robinson in three-receiver sets. The speedy Hyatt will provide the Giants with a downfield threat, but he could struggle to see enough targets to make for an appealing fantasy option in Week 10, even while he takes aim against a porous Carolina secondary.

Shut out in passing game again
Hyatt did not receiving a target in Sunday's Week 9 loss to the Commanders.
Impact
Hyatt functioned as New York's No. 4 wideout in the contest, but that resulted in just four offensive snaps -- well behind Malik Nabers (62 offensive snaps), Darius Slayton (60) and Wan'Dale Robinson (47). In fact, three Giants tight ends logged more snaps on offense than Hyatt (Theo Johnson with 55, Chris Manhertz with 16 and Daniel Bellinger with 14). Hyatt has just one catch on the campaign and has drawn one or zero targets in seven of the eight games in which he has played. However, he could see a considerable uptick in opportunity Week 10 against Carolina if Darius Slayton, who is currently in the NFL's five-step concussion protocol, is unable to suit up.

Gathers first catch of campaign
Hyatt caught one of four targets for six yards in Sunday's Week 6 loss to Cincinnati.
Impact
For the second straight week, Hyatt logged a healthy offensive snap count (81 percent Sunday, 68 percent Week 5) with Malik Nabers (concussion) unable to suit up. The increased opportunities haven't amounted to much production , however -- after failing to even get a target last week, Hyatt got only four against the Bengals and made just one catch for a meager six yards. It's clear at this point that the second-year wideout isn't in sync with QB Daniel Jones or New York's offensive game plan as a whole even when he's on the field, and Hyatt could fall back to a minimal snap count Week 7 versus Philadelphia if Nabers is able to return.

Logs 48 snaps without target
Hyatt did not receive a passing target or carry in Sunday's 29-20 Week 5 win over Seattle.
Impact
With Malik Nabers (concussion) unable to suit up for the contest, it was expected that Hyatt would get more of an opportunity to produce after topping out at just 15 offensive snaps over his first four games. That opportunity did come to pass -- Hyatt was on the field for 48 of New York's 72 offensive snaps -- but production did not follow, as he failed to receive a target for the second time this season. Hyatt was selected in the third round of the 2023 Draft to help boost what was then an unexciting receiving corps, but he caught just 23 passes on 40 targets over 17 regular-season games as a rookie and now appears to be almost completely an afterthought in the Giants' passing game. Given his performance Sunday, there's little reason for fantasy managers to consider starting him Week 6 against Cincinnati even if Nabers is held out again.
