Grabs key catch on fourth down Guyton caught two of his three targets for 23 yards in Sunday's 28-13 loss to the Broncos.
Impact The Chargers never managed to gain much traction against a stifling Broncos defense, but Guyton did help the team with a critical 15-yard catch-and-run on fourth-and-four nearing the end of the third quarter. The drive ultimately ended thanks to an ill-timed interception, but that reception was arguably one of Guyton's lone highlights of the season to date. The speed threat now has back to back games playing at least 50 percent of the offensive snaps, but the extra workload predictably hasn't generated extra fantasy volume as the Chargers' narrow target tree hasn't included the third-year wideout.

Posts 18-yard catch in win Guyton caught one of two targets for 18 yards while also carrying the ball once for two yards in Sunday night's 41-37 win over the Steelers.
Impact Guyton has not had a game with more than one catch since the Week 5 contest against the Browns. However, the receiver has recorded a catch of at least 15-plus yards in five of his last six games. After splitting a lot of the third wide receiver role last week, Guyton out-snapped Josh Palmer 41 to 23 on Sunday night.
NOVEMBER 23, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Zero catches in loss Guyton did not catch a pass and had just one target in Sunday's 27-20 loss to Minnesota.
Impact Guyton's disappointing season continues as he was unable to catch a pass for the second time this season. The 24-year-old was only on the field for 31 percent of offensive snaps, a number significantly less than his season average. Not only did the young receiver put up nothing offensively, but Josh Palmer, his main competition for the No. 3 wide receiver spot, caught three passes for 22 yards. Look for Guyton's workload to continue to decrease as he splits offensive snaps with Palmer.
NOVEMBER 16, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
One catch in win Guyton caught one of two of his targets for 19 yards in Sunday's win over the Eagles 27-24.
Impact As the No. 3 wide receiver, Guyton has not been targeted much this season. It's a bit concerning that the speedy wide receiver saw his snap-share dip coincide with rookie Josh Palmer taking a small jump in playing time, but neither did much with the Chargers' trio of tight ends all putting together positive outings. It's possible Palmer's development as a prospect could result in a more even playing-time split over the coming weeks, but neither figures to see enough volume to be fantasy relevant.
NOVEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Hardly utilized in loss Guyton caught one of his two targets for 18 yards in the 27-24 loss to the Patriots on Sunday.
Impact Guyton now has one or fewer catches in four of the last five games after emerging as the No. 3 wide receiver to begin the season. Primarily a run blocker and speed decoy, Guyton will see plenty of playing time any given game, but it's hardly useful for fantasy purposes.

Incredibly inefficient in loss Guyton caught just one of his five targets for 15 yards in Sunday's 34-6 loss to the Ravens.
Impact For the first time all season the Chargers passing attack, particularly Mike Williams and Keenan Allen, was completely stifled, which allowed for Guyton to get an usually high five targets. The lack of efficiency with those opportunities likely has more to do with numerous uncatchable passes thrown by Justin Herbert and less of an indictment on Guyton, but it's obviously a difficult line nevertheless. The Chargers will lick their wounds heading into a Week 7 bye before returning to play Oct. 31 against the Patriots.
OCTOBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Critical catch in win Guyton tallied two receptions (on three targets) for 35 yards in Sunday's 47-42 win over the Browns.
Impact Guyton continues to see plenty of snaps but simply hasn't been a major factor. Known more for his speed rather than his strength, Guyton showcased the latter on a nifty 21-yard reception in the second half but was otherwise hardly used. Given the Chargers' narrow passing tree, it's hard to imagine Guyton emerging as a reliable fantasy option most weeks.
OCTOBER 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Does little in win Guyton caught one of his two targets for nine yards and also registered two carries for 20 yards in the 28-14 win over the Raiders on Monday.
Impact Guyton once again saw a healthy 42 offensive snaps, whereas No. 4 wideout, Josh Palmer, saw a paltry seven total, but the speedy option once again did little with the playing time. After seeing five targets in Week 1, Guyton has more carries (four) than catches (three) over the last three weeks, essentially reverting back to his 2020 days as an offensive decoy.

Carries once Sunday Guyton didn't catch his lone target but rushed once for three yards in Sunday's 30-24 win over the Chiefs.
Impact Guyton handled 41 offensive snaps (62 percent) but couldn't beat out Mike Williams, Keenan Allen and Austin Ekeler for a piece of the target pie. The 24-year-old has deep-threat appeal and could be used on gadget plays, but he's not a dependable fantasy option.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Just two receptions Guyton caught his two targets for 13 yards in Sunday's 20-17 loss to the Chargers.
Impact It was a disappointing outing for Guyton after emerging as the team's third wideout in the Week 1 win. Keenan Allen, Mike Williams and Austin Ekeler combined for 260 of the 338 total receiving yards, so the lack of opportunities could easily be attributed to the trio's brilliance. It might be difficult for Guyton to break out against a Chiefs defense that has done a good job limiting big plays from the passing game this season.
SEPTEMBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Emerges as No. 3 wideout Guyton caught three of his five targets for 49 yards in Sunday's 20-16 victory over Washington.
Impact Guyton, not Josh Palmer, was clearly the team's No. 3 wideout behind Keenan Allen and Mike Williams as the speedy wideout was a certifiable threat for quarterback Justin Herbert in the intermediate level. Underutilized as simply a speed decoy in Anthony Lynn's offensive system, Guyton could be poised to actually make good on his large number of snaps on a week-to-week basis.

All cleared for Week 1 Guyton (leg) was not listed on the Week 1 injury report Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Guyton missed most of the final week of training camp with a leg injury, but the speedy wide receiver appears to be past the issue. It'll be interesting to see how much Guyton plays after the 24-year-old lost a training-camp battle to rookie Josh Palmer for the team's No. 3 wideout role.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Sitting out practice Wednesday Guyton (leg) remains sidelined for Wednesday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact The Chargers haven't released any information at this point as to the severity of the leg injury that forced Guyton off the practice field Tuesday, but his exclusion from Wednesday's practice indicates a night's rest wasn't enough to get him back on the field. Look for a proper timetable to form once the coaching staff speaks on the issue.
AUGUST 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with leg injury Guyton suffered an upper leg injury during Tuesday's practice, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact The specifics of the issue remain unclear, though Guyton was seen getting his upper leg wrapped at Tuesday's practice. The 24-year-old caught 28 passes for 511 yards and three touchdowns last season and is competing for the No. 3 job at wide receiver with Tyron Johnson and Josh Palmer.
AUGUST 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Breaks off 39-yard catch Guyton caught his lone target for 39 yards in Sunday's 15-10 preseason loss to the Chargers.
Impact Guyton ended up leading the Chargers in receiving yards despite making just one catch, as he was the only receiver able to break through the 49ers' tight coverage in this exhibition. The third-year wideout currently is battling for the vacant No. 3 WR job, so Sunday's big play should help his bid. Expect things to remain competitive between Guyton, Tyron Johnson and rookie Josh Palmer heading into the Chargers' third preseason tilt against the Seahawks on Saturday.

Returns to practice Guyton (undisclosed) practiced Friday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Guyton has been out since Tuesday, but the team declined to list an exact injury so it always seemed like the speedy wideout would return to practice relatively soon. The 24-year-old is in a heated battle for the No. 3 role with Tyron Johnson and rookie Josh Palmer.
AUGUST 6, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Out with undisclosed injury Guyton (undisclosed) did not practice Wednesday, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact Guyton left Tuesday's practice after one-on-one drills, walking immediately to the trainers tent, so it's not a surprise the speedy wideout was unavailable Wednesday. Coach Brandon Staley waved off any sort of concern regarding the injury suggesting the team was just being cautious with Guyton, but declined to list when the wide receiver might return to practice.
AUGUST 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Falling behind for No. 3 job? Fellow Chargers wideouts Josh Palmer and Tyron Johnson (foot) have outplayed Guyton through the first week of training camp, Daniel Popper of The Athletic reports.
Impact The three are competing to be the Chargers' No. 3 receiver, a role Guyton handled for most of last season, though he drew only 55 targets on 920 offensive snaps. While the team could get its third wideout more involved now that TE Hunter Henry is gone, the role still figures to entail a lot of blocking and clear-out routes. The blocking aspect might work in Guyton's favor, but Johnson is probably the better deep threat and Palmer is the only one the Chargers have really invested in (he's a rookie third-round pick).
