Leaves with concussion Grant left Monday night's game against Minnesota after suffering a concussion.
Impact Grant took a shot in the first half and was knocked out of the game after being diagnosed with a concussion. Prior to his departure, he returned two punts for a total of five yards while turning a pair of rushing attempts into another 17 yards. Grant's absence came back to bite the Bears later in the game, as Damiere Byrd muffed a punt at the start of the fourth quarter. Grant will have a short week to recover and will need to pass through the league's concussion protocol to play Sunday at Seattle.

Impact Grant was one of eight Bears who wasn't on the field Thursday on account of an illness. All but one of those players returned to the field Friday as full participants, temporarily alleviating some concern about a team-wide COVID-19 breakout. With that in mind, Grant should be ready to go for Monday's game against the Vikings. He's coming off a big Week 14 game in which he returned a punt for a touchdown and turned in his lone reception for a 46-yard score in the Bears' 45-30 loss to the Packers.

Shines on SNF Grant caught one of three targets for 46 yards and a touchdown while returning three punts for 131 yards and another touchdown in Sunday's 45-30 loss to the Packers.
Impact Grant provided the spark the Bears needed on the road to keep up with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers' dominant offense. The unconventional fantasy line and low targets is a reminder that these sort of big games shouldn't be expected on a weekly basis from the veteran backup wideout. That being said, Grant has now produced 108 receiving yards and three total touchdowns over the last two weeks, so he could be worth snagging off of waivers in the event he can keep the hot streak going against a porous Minnesota defense next Monday.

Impact With Allen Robinson (hamstring) and Marquise Goodwin (foot) missing this contest, Grant picked up where he left off in Week 12 when he saw an increased role in the offense. Once the Bears fell behind by double digits, Grant saw most of his seven targets, and he led the team in receiving yardage. As long as Robinson and Goodwin remain out, Grant could serve as a depth option for fantasy managers.

Impact Wideout Darnell Mooney and tight end Cole Kmet are likely to be the top targets for quarterback Andy Dalton -- who is making a second straight start in place of the injured Justin Fields (doubtful, ribs) -- but the expected absences of Robinson and Goodwin leave Damiere Byrd and Grant as the next men up at receiver. The Bears are expected to promote at least one of Isaiah Coulter, Rodney Adams Nsimba Webster and Dazz Newsome from the practice squad for additional depth at receiver, but none of the quartet has an NFL catch on his resume. With that in mind, Grant looks on pace to see at least a handful of looks from Dalton out of the slot, as he did in the Bears' Thanksgiving Day win over the Lions. After working almost exclusively as a return man since being acquired from the Dolphins on Oct. 5, Grant hauled in two of four targets for 25 yards across 19 snaps on offense in Detroit.

Impact In addition to two kickoff and four punt returns, Grant was fourth on the team with four targets, as the Bears were without Allen Robinson (hamstring) and also lost Marquise Goodwin (foot) in the first half. Grant's fantasy value is highest in leagues that award points for return yardage, though he also can chip in occasionally as a receiver. If the Bears continue to be saddled with wideout injuries, Grant's ability to gain yardage after the catch would give him limited fantasy value as a wide receiver.
