Shaquille Leonard - Ruled out for Week 5 Leonard (concussion) has been ruled out for the Colts' Week 5 matchup with the Broncos on Thursday, Stephen Holder of ESPN.com reports.
Impact After missing the Colts' first three games while recovering from back surgery, Leonard made his debut Sunday against the Titans, only to exit after playing just 16 snaps due to concussion symptoms. The Colts will be proactive in ruling Leonard out for Week 5, giving the star linebacker some extra time to clear the protocol ahead of the team's Week 6 game against the Jaguars on Oct. 16.

Alec Pierce - Emerging as big-play threat Pierce recorded four catches on six targets for 80 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
Impact Pierce posted his best game as a pro, primarily on the strength of a pair of big plays that went for 44 and 25 yards, respectively. Matt Ryan spread the ball around fairly evenly between several Colts pass catchers, which could bode well for Pierce's ongoing involvement in the offense. Pierce has also shown the ability to deliver big plays, as three of his first seven receptions as a pro have gone for more than 20 yards.

Mo Alie-Cox - Two touchdowns against Titans Alie-Cox recorded six receptions on six targets for 85 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
Impact Alie-Cox entered Sunday's game having tallied only four catches for 44 yards across the first three games of the season. However, he emerged to lead Indianapolis' pass catchers in receptions and yards, highlighted by touchdown grabs of 14 and seven yards. Alie-Cox also recorded the Colts' second-longest play from scrimmage. Matt Ryan distributed targets to a wider range of receivers against the Titans, and if that continues, Alie-Cox is a candidate to see sustained increased production.

Nyheim Hines - Minimal role in loss Hines caught both of his targets for three yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans. He added one rushing attempt for zero yards.
Impact Hines' lack of involvement on the ground was nothing new, as he has yet to earn more than three carries in any game this season. However, his production as a pass catcher was a significant downturn as he entered Sunday having logged at least four catches and 20 receiving yards in all three of his previous games. Those numbers could increase in short order if Jonathan Taylor (ankle) is sidelined for Thursday's matchup at the Broncos, as Hines would likely serve as the Colts' lead back in that scenario.

Matt Ryan - Big numbers in loss Ryan completed 27 of 37 passes for 356 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
Impact Ryan has had reasonable passing volume throughout the season, but Sunday's effort was by far his most efficient in four games with the Colts. He spread the ball around but was particularly effective targeting his tight ends, as the trio of Mo Alie-Cox, Kylen Granson and Jelani Woods combined for 11 receptions, 180 yards and two touchdowns. After throwing a total of only one touchdown across his first two games, Ryan now has multiple scores in each of his last two starts.

Michael Pittman Jr. - Quiet against Titans Pittman recorded three receptions on six targets for 31 yards in Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans.
Impact Pittman tied for the team lead with six targets, though that was down considerably from his marks of 13 and nine in his other two games this season. The Titans also kept Pittman limited to short areas of the field, as his longest reception went for only 14 yards. Until the Colts get the run game going or a supporting pass catcher emerges, opposing defenses may be able to focus all of their attention on Pittman. He's still capable of providing big performances, but the state of the Colts' offense could lead to inconsistency in his results.

Colts' Matt Ryan on pace to shatter season fumble record

Jonathan Taylor - Possible high ankle sprain The Colts fear that Taylor may have suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday's 24-17 loss to the Titans, Zak Keefer of The Athletic reports.
Impact Meanwhile, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network relays that the running back "will have tests imminently" to asses his ankle injury. When asked Sunday about his availability for Thursday night's game against Denver, Taylor noted "I'm not sure yet. We'll see how things happen tomorrow morning." If Taylor is out or limited in Week 5, Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson could see added backfield work versus the Broncos, while Phillip Lindsay and D'Vonte Price are candidates to be elevated from the Colts' practice squad.

Henry reigns as Titans hold off Colts for 24-17 victory

Jonathan Taylor - Hurts ankle Sunday Taylor was forced out of Sunday's game against the Titans with an ankle injury, Kevin Bowen of 107.5 The Fan Indianapolis reports.
Impact Prior to exiting the contest, Taylor logged 20 carries for 42 yards caught one pass for one yard. With the Colts playing again Thursday against the Broncos, Taylor's status will be worth monitoring closely in the coming days. Next up for the team's carries if Taylor is limited or out in Week 5 are Nyheim Hines and Deon Jackson.

Shaquille Leonard - Staying out Sunday Leonard (concussion) is ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game against the Titans, George Bremer of The Anderson Herald Bulletin reports.
Impact Leonard recorded two tackles before exiting during his season debut against Tennessee. The star linebacker had been sidelined with a back injury for the first three games of 2022, and he recorded 122 tackles, eight passes defended and four interceptions for the Colts last year. It's likely Leonard will now miss additional time with a concussion, as Indianapolis' next game will come again Denver on Thursday

Shaquille Leonard - May have suffered concussion Leonard is being evaluated for a head injury Sunday, Andrew Walker of the Colts' official site reports.
Impact Leonard was in the midst of his season debut after not playing yet this season due to a back injury. He had recorded two tackles before exiting against the Titans. If he is unable to return E.J. Speed will likely see extra opportunity.

Bernhard Raimann - Will return Sunday Raimann (ankle) will play Sunday against the Titans, JJ Stankevitz of the Colts' official site reports.
Impact Raimann was unable to suit up in Week 3, but he's now healthy enough to return. The rookie should remain as a depth piece to the Colts offensive line, backing up Matt Pryor at left tackle.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Dezmon Patmon - Won't face Titans Patmon (coach's decision) is inactive Sunday against the Titans.
Impact With the Colts' receiving corps back to full strength, Patmon will be inactive for the second straight game. Mike Strachan appears to have bested Patmon for the fifth receiver role on the depth chart.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
DeForest Buckner - Set to face Titans Buckner (elbow) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Impact Buckner has played in each of the Colts' first three games but failed to practice early in the week due to an elbow injury. Nevertheless, he'll suit up against the Titans and be key to the team's effort in slowing down Derrick Henry.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Shaquille Leonard - Active for season debut Leonard (back) is active for Sunday's game against the Titans.
Impact Leonard has yet to play this season, but he logged three full practices during the week and is set for action. He will be a key addition to the middle of the Colts' defense and has tallied over 120 tackles in all four of his seasons as a pro.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Shaquille Leonard - Eyeing season debut Leonard (back) is expected to suit up for Sunday's game against the Titans, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Leonard appears to be closing in on his season debut, and he's coming off his first full week of unrestricted practice. The star linebacker's absence has been notable for Indianapolis' defense, so if he's back on the field in even a limited capacity it will bode well. Official word on Leonard's status will be made available prior to Sunday's 1:00 p.m. E.T. kickoff.
OCTOBER 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Chase McLaughlin - Moves up to active roster again McLaughlin was elevated to the Colts' active roster Saturday.
Impact This is McLaughlin's final standard practice squad elevation, meaning the Colts will either have to part ways with the kicker or sign him to the active roster the next time. Since taking over as the starter, McLaughlin has made both of his field-goal attempts as well as both extra-point tries through two weeks.
