Four catches in Week 8 loss Hurst caught all four of his targets for 42 yards in Monday's 32-13 loss to the Browns.

Impact Hurst finished fourth on the team in targets behind Joe Mixon (nine), Tee Higgins (six) and Tyler Boyd (five). Even in Ja'Marr Chase's (hip) absence, Hurst will likely remain the fourth option for quarterback Joe Burrow. The tight end's season high is a modest 53 yards, though Hurst has topped 40 yards four times heading into Cincinnati's Week 9 home game against the Panthers.

Even if Hurst is limited Saturday in the Bengals' final practice of the week, there's a good chance he'll at least take a questionable tag into Monday rather than being ruled out in advance. Mitchell Wilcox would be the next man up for reps at tight end if Hurst ends up sitting out the Week 8 contest.

He then rebounded to 81 percent snap share in a Week 5 loss to Baltimore and 70 percent share in a Week 6 win over New Orleans, with negative game script also perhaps playing a role in the increased playing time. Whatever the case, Hurst is averaging 3.8 catches for 29.7 yards and 0.33 TDs on 5.2 targets through six games, and he'll get to face a former team for the second time in three weeks this Sunday against the Falcons (assuming no setback with the groin injury).
