Impact Hurst had already been ruled out for Monday night's game against the Ravens, but he's now going to miss at least the next four contests. Will Dissly and Stone Smartt should handle tight end duties for the Chargers while Hurst is sidelined.

He has been splitting snaps with Will Dissly in a Chargers offense that hasn't thrown the ball much to its tight ends.

Only three targets in loss Hurst caught one of his three targets for six yards in the 17-10 loss to the Chiefs on Sunday.

Impact Hurst played more than his teammate Will Dissly (35 snaps to 20), but the two tight-end sets haven't been favorable for either player other than more run-blocking opportunities. The offensive scheme sure appears to be limiting the fantasy upside of either tight end as Hurst and Dissly have failed to top 35 yards this season.

Good to go Sunday Hurst (Achilles) doesn't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game against the Chiefs and is expected to play.

Impact Hurst was limited Wednesday and Thursday but got in a full practice Friday and is cleared to play against Kansas City. The veteran tight end has yet to top two catches in a game this season and enters Week 4 with a 5-53-0 receiving line. Hurst isn't a recommended fantasy play.

If he's out or limited versus Kansas City, added snaps would be available for teammate Will Dissly.

Impact Hursts' underwhelming start to the 2024 season continued Sunday against the Steelers. The veteran tight end had the slight edge in playing time over teammate Will Dissly, as Hurst played 28 offensive snaps compared to Dissly's 23 snaps. With limited usage, Hurst should remain off the fantasy radar in Week 4 when the Chargers square off against the Chiefs.
