Impact While there has been no word on the severity of the injury, it makes sense for anyone with even the slightest issue to sit the rest of the game given that the Falcons are in the midst of getting blown out. Keith Smith might see extra snaps in the meantime.

Impact Hurst saw an increased role as the Falcons relied on multiple tight ends in the absence of Calvin Ridley (personal) and Russell Gage (ankle). He delivered a 17-yard touchdown reception to put the Falcons up 17-0 early in the second quarter. Hurst also offset some of that good by fumbling twice, one of which was lost to the Jets. Moving forward, Hurst may have a difficult time replicating this performance as the team heads into their bye, which will provide both Ridley and Gage an extra week to return.
