INJURIES

Dealing with thigh bruise Duvernay missed a third straight practice Wednesday due to a thigh bruise, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The injury doesn't sound serious, but every missed day of practice counts for a third-year player fighting for a role behind Rashod Bateman in the youngest receiving corps in the league. A lot of Baltimore's offseason moves point to more heavy formations and run plays in 2022, but the team still needs at least one wideout to step up behind Bateman as a functional starter. Duvernay, James Proche and Tylan Wallace are seemingly the top candidates for the second and third spots.

Avoids serious injury Duvernay avoided a serious injury after colliding with Chuck Clark during Saturday's training camp practice, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official website reports.
Impact Coach John Harbaugh said that Duvernay suffered a thigh bruise, and while the wideout sat out the rest of practice, he could've resumed action if necessary. "He hit his thigh, so good news, nothing serious there," Harbaugh said. The 2020 third-round pick faces a real opportunity to earn a more prolific role on offense heading into his third NFL season, especially after Baltimore's trade of Marquise Brown to Arizona and Sammy Watkins' departure to Green Bay.

Aiming for starting role Duvernay hopes to earn a starting role in Baltimore's offense when training camp begins, Clifton Brown of the Ravens' official site reports.
Impact Duvernay is facing a real opportunity to earn a more prolific role on offense heading into his third NFL season, especially following Baltimore's trade of Marquise Brown to Arizona and with Sammy Watkins now in Green Bay. The expectation is that 2021 first-round pick Rashod Bateman will step up as the Ravens' top wideout, but Duvernay could be a candidate for the No. 2 gig. Duvernay, a 2020 third-round pick, put together a 33-272-2 receiving line on 47 targets in 16 games last season while also earning All-Pro honors as a return man.

Earns All-Pro honors as returner Duvernay finished the season with 33 catches for 272 yards and two touchdowns on 47 targets. He was also was voted to the first-team All-Pro team as a punt returner, Jonas Shaffer...
Impact The second-year player out of Texas made his biggest impact in the return game as he finished second in the league in punt return yards and led the NFL in punt returns of 20-or-more yards with six. In terms of his role on offense, Duvernay consistently played over a third of the snaps but never played more than 50 percent of the snaps in any game. Baltimore deployed Duvernay on short routes for the most part, as evidenced by his 6.2 aDOT. He was efficient with those looks, catching 70 percent of his targets and finishing the year with zero drops. He projects to be the No.3 receiver in the offense in 2022 as the primary slot alongside Marquise Brown and Rashod Bateman.

Will play Sunday Duvernay (ankle) is active Sunday against the Steelers.
Impact Duvernay was questionable coming into the weekend, but he did log a full practice Friday and is good to go against the Steelers. He should fill his usual roles as a depth wideout and return man for the Ravens.
JANUARY 9, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Week 18 Duvernay (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Steelers, Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic reports.
Impact Duvernay logged a full practice Friday, so he will likely be available for the regular season finale. The second-year wideout has operated as Baltimore's primary punt returner this season, but he also has recorded multiple receptions in four straight games. If he's unable to suit up, James Proche would likely handle the majority of Duvernay's duties on special teams and on offense.
JANUARY 7, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Two grabs in return Duvernay caught two of three targets for 19 yards against the Rams and added a four-yard carry.
Impact The second-year man out of Texas returned from a one-game absence and played 42 percent of Baltimore's offensive snaps. He has recorded over 20 receiving yards just once in his last four games and has not scored a touchdown since Week 9. Through 15 games, Duvernay has impressed in some areas and disappointed in others. He has a strong catch rate at 70 percent with zero drops, but his YPT is down to 5.8 from 7.7 as a rookie despite having almost identical aDOT (6.2 in 2021, 6.3 in 2020), and his YAC figure is down by 1.3 yards from 2020. Duvernay appears to have moved ahead of Sammy Watkins but remains the No. 4 option in the passing game behind Mark Andrews, Marquise Brown and rookie Rashod Bateman. Baltimore caps off its regular season Sunday against Pittsburgh.
JANUARY 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Cleared for Week 17 Duvernay (ankle) is active for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Impact Though Baltimore listed Duvernay as questionable heading into Sunday, he cleared up most of the concern about his health by practicing fully Friday. He'll likely serve as the Ravens' No. 4 receiver moving forward, as Sammy Watkins should be ready to handle a greater role after being limited to just three snaps in last week's loss to the Bengals in his first game back from the reserve/COVID-19 list.
JANUARY 2, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Logs full practice Duvernay (ankle) was a full practice participant Friday and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Rams.
Impact Duvneray's full participation in practice suggests he's on track to play this weekend, likely resuming his role as Baltimore's slot receiver and return specialist. There's not much upside for Duvernay's target volume if Marquise Brown (illness), Rashod Bateman and Sammy Watkins all play, but Brown is listed as questionable and appears in more danger than Duvernay of missing the game. It's also unclear if starting quarterback Lamar Jackson (ankle) will play.

Lamar Jackson misses practice again, questionable for Sunday

Baltimore star Lamar Jackson missed practice again because of his injured ankle, and the Ravens listed him as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Los Angeles Rams
DECEMBER 31, 2021
Not back at practice Duvernay (ankle) didn't practice Wednesday, Jonas Shaffer of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Impact The slot receiver missed every practice last week and was listed as doubtful before he was ultimately inactive in Baltimore's loss to Cincinnati. Coming off his first absence of the season, Duvernay isn't looking great to make it back for Week 16. He's averaging only 2.2 catches for 18.1 yards per game, but he leads the NFL with 360 punt return yards, and he also handles kickoffs most of the time. Last week, James Proche and Tylan Wallace took on return duties for Baltimore.
