Impact Jones was having a solid sixth season before suffering a pectoral injury in a Week 15 win over the Packers that required surgery to repair and landed him on injured reserve. The 27-year-old safety was unable to play in the Broncos' two playoff contests, but it appears he was a candidate to return to action if Denver made it to Super Bowl LX. Assuming he is back to full health next season, Jones should return to his starting free safety position as a key member of the Broncos' top-tier defense. The Texas product is entering the final year of his three-year deal with the Broncos before becoming a free agent in 2027.

Pat Surtain II - Another impressive year in 2025 Surtain finished the 2025 regular season with 47 tackles (37 solo) and 12 passes defensed, including one interception, across 14 regular-season games.
Impact Surtain had another strong season in 2025, although his one interception tied a career low for the veteran cornerback. The 2024 NFL Defensive Player of the Year produced similar numbers last season, but the decrease in interceptions is not the product of diminished skill. Instead, opposing quarterbacks avoided targeting him based on his abilities as a shutdown corner. Surtain is under contract with the Broncos through the 2029 season, so he'll continue to be one of the best defenders on a formidable defense for the foreseeable future.

Impact Ehlinger operated as the Broncos' emergency third quarterback behind starter Bo Nix and Jarrett Stidham for much of the season, as the fifth-year quarterback bounced back and forth between Denver's practice squad and active roster several times in 2025. The 27-year-old Texas product is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason, perhaps finding a home with a team in need of quarterback depth if the Broncos don't choose to extend an offer ahead of the 2026 campaign.

Impact Prentice was minimally involved in the Broncos' offensive attack this season, playing at least 25 percent of snaps in just three games in 2025. The veteran fullback, instead, played a higher percentage of his snaps on special teams. Prentice was promoted to Denver's active roster from the practice squad for the first three games, ultimately leading the Broncos to sign him to the active roster for the remainder of the season. The 29-year-old will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason, so he'll perhaps be signed back with the Broncos based on his familiarity with head coach Sean Payton's system. If not, he'd likely garner interest from other teams around the league.

Evan Engram - Lackluster year in Denver Engram ended the 2025 campaign with 50 receptions on 76 targets for 461 yards and one touchdown, adding one carry for seven yards across 16 regular-season games.
Impact Engram's first year in Denver was mostly a disappointment, as the tight end was not a major part of the offensive game plan most weeks. The veteran played over 50 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps just three times during the regular season, while teammate Adam Trautman saw the field as a blocking specialist more often. With that said, Engram still managed to finish third in receiving yards behind just Courtland Sutton (1,017) and Troy Franklin (709), as quarterback Bo Nix spread the ball around to several different pass catchers throughout the season. The 31-year-old remains under contract for the 2026 season, but based on his current usage in head coach Sean Payton's offense, he'll likely be difficult to trust for consistent fantasy production once again.

J.K. Dobbins - Season cut short by foot injury Dobbins (foot) ended the 2025 campaign with 153 carries for 772 yards and four touchdowns, adding 11 receptions on 14 targets for 37 yards across 10 regular-season games.
Impact Dobbins ended up leading the Broncos in rushing yards despite missing the final seven games of the regular season. The 27-year-old running back had a strong start to his sixth season, as he handled the majority of touches out of the backfield ahead of rookie RJ Harvey, Tyler Badie and Jaleel McLaughlin. A foot injury suffered in Week 10 required surgery, forcing him to miss the remainder of the 2025 season. Though Dobbins proved to be a good signing when he was on the field, his issues with durability remain a concern. The veteran resumed practicing in a limited fashion ahead of Denver's AFC Championship Game loss to the Patriots, but he was ultimately not quite ready to play. It appears he is on the right track in his recovery, boding well for his ability to be ready for next season. However, where he'll be playing remains a mystery, as Dobbins will become an unrestricted free agent this offseason after signing just a one-year deal with the Broncos last June. If the Ohio State product returns to Denver, he'd likely split time with Harvey, whose development in the second half of the 2025 campaign should earn him consistent playing time in his sophomore season. If healthy, Dobbins figures to draw attention from several running back-needy teams around the league.
