Decreased usage in 2025
Douglas caught 31 of 46 targets for 447 yards and three touchdowns while logging seven carries for 21 yards over 17 contests during the 2025 regular season.
Impact
Douglas garnered just 288 total offensive snaps which was 186 fewer than his previous low (474) from his rookie campaign in 2023. As a result of the smaller workload, the wide receiver recorded the fewest receptions and receiving yards of his three-year career with New England. With Stefon Diggs, Kayshon Boutte, Mack Hollins and 2025 third-rounder Kyle Williams all under contract at wide receiver for next season, Douglas will enter 2026 on an expiring deal with limited upside.

TD catch opens scoring Sunday
Douglas caught both of his targets for 36 yards and a TD in Sunday's 28-16 divisional-round win over the Texans.
Impact
Though Douglas finished fifth among New England WRs in the contest with 17 (out of a possible 65) snaps on offense, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, he still managed to make a mark with a 28-yard score to give his team a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. As Sunday's AFC Championship approaches, Douglas continues to carry modest fantasy upside, given that he hasn't seen more than three passing targets in a game since Week 9.

One catch Sunday
Douglas caught one of his two targets for three yards in Sunday's 16-3 wild-card win over the Chargers.
Impact
Douglas recorded a 33 percent snap share in the contest, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, and once again saw a modest target share in an offense that tends to spread the ball around. The slot man thus carries modest fantasy upside as the Patriots divisional round playoff game (against either the Steelers or Texans) this coming weekend approaches.

Two catches Sunday
Douglas caught two of his three targets for 29 yards in the Patriots' 38-10 win over the Dolphins in Sunday's regular-season finale.
Impact
Per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, Douglas recorded a 25 percent snap share in Week 18, while fellow slot man Efton Chism was out there for 44 percent of the Patriots' snaps on offense Sunday. As the postseason approaches, Douglas brings modest fantasy upside to the table following a regular season in which he totaled a career-low 31 catches (on 46 targets) for 447 yards and three TDs in 17 contests.

Little production in Week 17 win
Douglas caught one of two targets for 10 yards in the Patriots' 42-10 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Impact
Douglas was one of the lone Patriots to do very little in the box score, as Drake Maye went 19-for-21 passing for 256 yards and five touchdowns. Douglas entered the game with a hamstring issue but was active versus New York, though his two targets were tied for the fewest on the team. After producing at least 30 receiving yards in six straight games from Weeks 8 to 13, Douglas has totaled two catches for 16 yards on four targets across the past four contests. He's a bit player in the New England offense.

Active versus Jets
Douglas (hamstring) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Jets.
Impact
Douglas was deemed limited on all three practice reports this week before being listed as questionable for the contest. With his active status versus New York confirmed, Douglas will have an opportunity to contribute out of the slot Sunday, while working in a New England WR corps that will be without Kayshon Boutte (concussion) and Mack Hollins (abdomen, IR). If, however, Douglas is limited at all or suffers any setbacks, rookie Efton Chism is a candidate to pick up added snaps, while Stefon Diggs and Kyle Williams profile as key Week 17 targets for QB Drake Maye in the absence of Boutte and Hollins.

Questionable for Week 17
Douglas (hamstring) has been deemed questionable to play against the Jets on Sunday, Mike Reiss of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Douglas was labeled as limited in all three practices this week as he manages the hamstring injury he suffered last Sunday against Baltimore. He seems to be legitimately iffy to suit up Sunday, so fantasy managers who roster the third-year wideout may need to wait until the Patriots list their inactives about 90 minutes ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to confirm his status. Both Kayshon Boutte (concussion) and Mack Hollins (abdomen) have been ruled out for Sunday, so if Douglas is able to suit up, he would likely have an elevated role in the team's passing game. Kyle Williams and Efton Chism should take on more offensive snaps than usual, regardless of whether Douglas plays.

Opens week with limited practice
Douglas (hamstring) was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.
Impact
Douglas injured his hamstring during the Patriots' Week 16 win over the Ravens, and he finished that contest having played just 13 of 74 offensive snaps (17.6 percent) while logging one catch (on two targets) for six yards. His ability to practice in a limited capacity indicates that the injury isn't considered a long-term issue, and he'll likely avoid an injury designation for Sunday's AFC East clash against the Jets if he were to practice fully by Friday. Rookies Kyle Williams and Efton Chism would be slated for larger roles on offense if Douglas is unable to play Week 17.
