Drake Maye with a 3-yard touchdown pass to Demario Douglas vs. Arizona Cardinals Drake Maye with a 3-yard touchdown pass to Demario Douglas vs. Arizona Cardinals, 12/15/2024
DECEMBER 16, 2024 • PATRIOTS.COM
Catches four passes Sunday Douglas logged 45 of a possible 72 snaps on offense in Sunday's 25-24 loss to the Colts, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.com, en route to catching all four of his targets in the contest for...
Impact Douglas approached the contest listed as questionable, but played through the ankle issue that had limited him at practice. With the Patriots on bye in Week 14, Douglas may be able to avoid the team's Week 15 injury report. Either way, he figures to maintain enough volume down the stretch to merit lineup attention in PPR formats.
DECEMBER 2, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Active versus Colts Douglas (ankle) is listed as active for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact After being deemed a limited participant on all three of New England's practice reports this week, Douglas headed into the weekend listed as questionable. With his active status confirmed, the 2023 sixth-rounder -- who tops New England's WR corps in catches (48), receiving yards (477) and targets (66) -- will have an opportunity to remain a key target for QB Drake Maye, which puts the wideout on the Week 13 PPR radar. Over his last four contests, Douglas has combined for 20 catches (on 27 targets) for 206 yards.
DECEMBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Likely to play Sunday Douglas (ankle) remains listed as questionable but is expected to play Sunday against the Colts, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Impact Douglas was listed as a limited participant on all three of the Patriots' practice reports this week, but the team is apparently confident that he'll be able to play through the ankle issue Sunday. Official confirmation on Douglas' status will arrive when New England releases its inactive list around 90 minutes prior to the 1 p.m. ET kickoff. Since Drake Maye took over as the Patriots' starting quarterback beginning in Week 6, Douglas has produced a 30-324-1 receiving line on 42 targets in seven contests.
DECEMBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as questionable for Sunday Douglas (ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Colts.
Impact Douglas was listed as a limited participant on all three Patriots' practice reports this week, so he has a chance to play through his ankle issue this weekend. Either way, with the team's kickoff being at 1:00 ET, those who rely on Douglas -- who leads New England's wideout corps in catches (48), receiving yards (477) and targets (66) -- will have his Week 13 status confirmed before Sunday's early slate of games.
NOVEMBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited by ankle issue Douglas was limited at practice Wednesday due to an ankle injury, Evan Lazar of the Patriots' official site reports.
Impact Douglas, who was one of 13 players deemed limited during Wednesday's session, has two more chances to upgrade his level of participation, and in the process avoid an injury designation for Sunday's game against the Colts. Through the Patriots' first 12 games thus far, Douglas -- who has logged one TD in that span -- leads the team's wideout in catches (48), targets (66) and receiving yards (477), a pace that puts him on the fantasy lineup radar in PPR formats.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Team-high yardage in loss Douglas secured five of seven targets for 62 yards and rushed once for one yard in the Patriots' 34-15 loss to the Dolphins on Sunday.
Impact Douglas finished with a co-team-high number of receptions while setting the pace in receiving yards for the Patriots on an unproductive afternoon for the offense overall. The second-year wideout has at least four catches in four consecutive games, and his yardage total Sunday was his highest since Week 6. Douglas' next opportunity to continue building rapport with rookie signal-caller Drake Maye comes in a Week 13 home matchup against the Colts.

DeMario Douglas showcases sleight of hand with one-handed reception en route to a Patriots' first down New England Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas makes a 27-yard reception vs. the Miami Dolphins.
NOVEMBER 24, 2024 • PATRIOTS.COM
Demario Douglas finds open space on shallow cross route for a 28-yard gain New England Patriots wide receiver Demario Douglas makes a reception good for 28 yards vs. Los Angeles Rams.
NOVEMBER 17, 2024 • PATRIOTS.COM
Four grabs in Sunday's win Douglas caught four of five targets for 50 yards in Sunday's 19-3 win over the Bears.
Impact Neither offense saw much success Sunday, but Douglas at least tied for the Patriots' lead in receptions with Kayshon Boutte, Douglas' 50 yards were his highest total since Week 6, and on the season he sports a modest 39-356-1 line on 53 targets through 10 games. The switch to rookie Drake Maye under center gives the New England passing attack more upside, but so far Douglas hasn't benefitted on a consistent basis. The slot receiver could make a bigger impact in Week 11 against the Rams.

Seven catches in loss Douglas recorded seven catches on nine targets for 35 yards in Sunday's 20-17 overtime loss to the Titans.
Impact Douglas led the Patriots with nine targets and tied for the team lead with seven receptions. Drake Maye didn't push the ball down the field much, limiting Douglas' yardage potential, though he still managed his first catch of at least 20 yards since Week 6 and just his fourth such reception of the campaign. While his final line was unremarkable, Douglas' ability to command targets was notable after seeing only six combined across his two prior games.

Stays quiet with two catches Douglas caught two of three targets for 12 yards in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Jets.
Impact Douglas finished sixth on the team in receiving yards while no Patriots player had more than 46 receiving yards or a touchdown through the air. The slot receiver will likely be catching passes from Jacoby Brissett in Week 9 against the Titans, as Drake Maye entered the concussion protocol in the first half of Sunday's win.
OCTOBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not on injury report Douglas (illness) isn't listed on the Patriots' Week 8 injury report.
Impact An illness limited Douglas to 20 snaps in this past Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars, but the wideout is evidently back at full strength, given that he's not on New England's injury report ahead of Sunday's game against the Jets. As a result, Douglas should return to his normal workload this weekend, and in the process should reclaim his role as one of QB Drake Maye's preferred targets, a context that gives Douglas (who logged a 6/92/1 receiving line on nine targets in Maye's starting debut in Week 6) a degree of utility in PPR formats.
OCTOBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Unable to shake off illness Sunday Douglas missed most of the second half of Sunday's 32-16 loss to the Jaguars after he felt under the weather after waking up earlier in the day, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports...
Impact Douglas caught two of his three targets for 14 yards in the first half, but shortly after halftime, the Patriots labeled him as questionable to return due to an illness. The second-year wideout appeared to check back into the game for one snap in the second half, but New England never officially announced that he was cleared to return to the game. The Patriots may have been consciously staying away from Douglas after he required anti-nausea medication in addition to an IV prior to the game so that he could attempt to play through the illness, per Rapoport. Provided his condition doesn't take a turn for the worse in the next few days, Douglas should be ready to play and take on a more normal share of snaps in the Patriots' Week 8 game versus the Jets next Sunday.

Illness explains Patriots WR DeMario Douglas' lack of snaps vs. Jaguars Why Patriots wide receiver DeMario Douglas has taken on a reduced role Sunday against the Jaguars.
OCTOBER 20, 2024 • BOSTONHERALD.COM
Iffy to return due to illness Douglas is questionable to return to Sunday's game against the Jaguars in London due to an illness.
Impact Douglas reeled in two of his three targets for 14 yards before falling ill. He seems to be keeping himself prepared to check back into the game, with Andrew Callahan of the Boston Herald noting that Douglas rode the stationary bike on the sideline and took part in some stretching during the third quarter. If Douglas doesn't ultimately return to the contest, the Patriots should provide an update on his condition shortly after the game concludes.
