Big output on ground Samuel caught one pass for 15 yards on two targets while running for 79 yards and one touchdown on eight carries against Jacksonville on Sunday.

Impact A substantial part of Samuel's fantasy appeal was always his ability to contribute as a runner in games where his pass-catching production might lag otherwise, and this box score is maybe the most extreme example of that in Samuel's career to this point. He was almost a zero through the air -- a byproduct of the fact that the 49ers attempted only 22 passes -- but his big rushing output made him a solid start for his fantasy investors anyway. Samuel won't stay quiet as a pass catcher forever, so he should be busier in that capacity against Minnesota in Week 12.

Impact He was a limited practice participant Wednesday and Thursday but never seemed in much danger of missing the game. A season-low five targets was no deterrent for Samuel in Monday's 31-10 win over the Rams, as he caught all five for 97 yards and a touchdown and also took a season-high four carries for 36 yards and another score. There may be some concern about his target share slipping a little with both Brandon Aiyuk and George Kittle healthy and handling full workloads, but Samuel has been the best of the three this year, and he might just add more rushing work to make up for it if he does end up losing some of the receiving looks.

Samuel has one more chance to get back to full before the 49ers are required to lock in a designation or remove it entirely ahead of Sunday's game in Jacksonville.
