Should be ready this weekend Coach Sean McVay said Friday that Henderson (ribs) should return for Sunday's game against Arizona, Stu Jackson of the Rams' official website reports.
Impact It remains to be seen if the Rams list him with an injury designation, but it sounds like Henderson will be back in action after missing one week. Sony Michel filled in last week as the lead runner in a win over Tampa.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, Rob Gronkowski among skill players playing through rib injuries
Puts in another limited practice Henderson (ribs) logged a limited practice Thursday.
Impact Prior to Thursday's session, Henderson was spotted stretching and warming up with his teammates, per Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic. Henderson appeared to be more active than he was Wednesday, when he worked on the side with the training staff, but he still had a cap on his reps. He'll look to get all the way back to full to wrap up Week 4 prep Friday, but it remains unclear if he'll put his rib cartilage injury behind him in advance of Sunday's game against the Cardinals. Sony Michel is healthy and on hand to handle the Rams backfield if Henderson is absent or limited this weekend.

Officially limited Wednesday Henderson (ribs) was a limited practice participant Wednesday, Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com reports.
Impact After Henderson took part in Wednesday's walkthrough, coach Sean McVay told Thiry that there was an "expectation and anticipation that he'll play (Week 4), but not 100 percent sure." Once the Rams took the practice field, however, Henderson was seen working with a Rams trainer on the side, per Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News. Once the session was closed, Henderson likely hopped into some drills to earn a 'limited' designation, but in any case he's trending in the right direction to return Sunday against the Cardinals. If he does enough to be cleared for game action, it'll be interesting to see the breakdown of backfield work between Henderson and Sony Michel, who eked out 79 yards from scrimmage on 23 touches in place of the former this past Sunday against a stingy Bucs run defense.

Impact That's not to say Henderson eventually won't get on the field, especially after he participated in a walkthrough earlier Wednesday. After the walkthrough, coach Sean McVay told Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.com that "the expectation and anticipation is that he'll play (Sunday against the Cardinals), but not 100 percent sure." The Rams will reveal if Henderson was a non-participant or limited when they release their first Week 4 injury report.

Impact Henderson didn't practice at all during Week 3 prep before sitting out this past Sunday, so the first step for him will be to get on the practice field. The Rams won't release their first injury report of the week until Wednesday, at which point McVay's comment could be fulfilled. On Sunday against the Buccaneers, Sony Michel handled 74 percent of the snaps on offense while rookie Jake Funk got 22 percent. The resulting touch counts were 23 for Michel (79 yards from scrimmage) and one for Funk (a six-yard run). A similar breakdown for Week 4 is likely if Henderson is unable to make it back.

No practice reps yet Henderson (ribs) didn't practice Thursday.
Impact As expected, Henderson sat out the first two sessions of Week 3 prep due to a rib cartilage injury suffered this past Sunday at Indianapolis. Coach Sean McVay told Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News on Thursday that the Rams' plans at running back are "TBD" with Henderson banged up. There's a belief Henderson will test out the health concern Friday, so McVay may have a better idea of the backfield breakdown by the end of the week. Even if L.A. takes the decision to clear Henderson for game action down to Sunday's 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, the team seems poised to have Sony Michel in an expanded role this weekend, with Jake Funk available for reps. The Rams also could elevate one of Buddy Howell or Javian Hawkins from the practice squad.

DNP on Wednesday Henderson (ribs) isn't participating in Wednesday's practice, Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic reports.
Impact Henderson emerged from the Rams' Week 2 win at Indianapolis with a rib cartilage injury, which likely will keep him out of practice Wednesday and Thursday. The hope is for Henderson to get on the field and test everything out Friday, at which point coach Sean McVay may make a decision on Henderson's availability for Sunday's showdown with the Buccaneers. If Henderson needs time off, L.A. will rely on Sony Michel out of the backfield, with Jake Funk on hand in reserve. The Rams have Buddy Howell and Javian Hawkins on the practice squad in the event an elevation is needed, too.

Impact It sounds as if Henderson will be given a few days off before seeing if he can practice, but he may need to get back on the field by Friday to put himself in a position to play Sunday against the Buccaneers. In the meantime, the Rams will prepare offseason addition Sony Michel for a larger workload, after he compiled 10 carries for 46 yards Sunday at Indianapolis in relief of Henderson.
