Suiting up Sunday
Slayton (foot) is listed as active Sunday against Washington, Dan Salomone of the Giants' official site reports.
Impact
After a week in which he was listed as limited on every practice report due to a foot injury, Slayton is upholding coach Joe Judge's expectation from Friday that the second-year wide receiver will play Week 6. On the season, Slayton has taken full advantage of his 40 targets through five games, putting up a respectable 23-365-2 line. He'll look to add to it versus a Washington defense that has allowed 8.95 YPT (12th-highest figure in the NFL) to wide receivers in 2020.

Listed as questionable, should play
Slayton (foot) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Washington, but he's expected to play, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact
Coach Joe Judge said Friday that Slayton that should be able to suit up. The second-year pro has emerged as the focal point of a struggling passing game, leading the team in every relevant receiving stat while accounting for 23.4 percent of the targets. Fantasy managers would be wise to check back for confirmation of Slayton's availability when the Giants release their inactive list approximately 90 minutes before the 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff on Sunday.

Remains limited
Slayton was a limited participant at Thursday's practice, Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News reports.
Impact
The Giants held a more traditional practice session Thursday after staging a walk-through Wednesday, but Slayton wasn't able to take a step up in terms of his listed activity. He'll attempt to turn in a full practice Friday, which would assuage any concerns about his status heading into Sunday's game against Washington.

Limited by foot issue
Slayton (foot) was limited at Wednesday's walkthrough practice, Art Stapleton of The Bergen Record reports.
Impact
On the heels of an 8-129-0 performance at Dallas this past Sunday, Slayton is tending to a foot injury of unknown severity. Fortunately for the second-year wide receiver, he was able to participate in some capacity to kick off Week 6 prep, and he'll now have two more days to elevate to full participation.

Big day in loss to Dallas
Slayton caught eight of 11 targets for 129 yards in Sunday's 37-34 loss to the Cowboys.
Impact
The second-year receiver was, by far, Daniel Jones' favorite option on the afternoon, as no other Giant saw more than five targets or hauled in more than 42 receiving yards. Slayton's had to make do with yardage rather than scores lately, however -- Jones only has two passing TDs on the year so far, and Slayton caught them both back in the Giants' opener. The duo will look to hook up in the end zone again next week at home against Washington.

Leading receiver against Rams
Slayton caught three of seven targets for 48 yards in Sunday's 17-9 loss to the Rams.
Impact
Despite the modest numbers, Slayton was the Giants' leading receiver on the afternoon, and only tight end Evan Engram saw more targets from Daniel Jones. Slayton has produced nearly identical numbers the last three games after his huge performance in the opener, but he could be in line for a rebound in Week 5 against a Cowboys defense that just surrendered 49 points to the Browns.

Leads pass catchers in loss
Slayton brought in three of seven targets for 53 yards and lost a fumble in the Giants' 36-9 loss to the 49ers on Sunday.
Impact
Slayton paced the Giants in receiving yards on the afternoon, although given the pedestrian performance of the offense as a whole, that wasn't much of an auspicious accomplishment. The second-year speedster also fumbled on the 49ers' 19-yard line after a 22-yard reception just after the two-minute warning in the second half, but New York was completely out of the game by that point. Despite the underwhelming fantasy day Sunday, Slayton still figures to see an uptick in opportunity in coming weeks while Sterling Shepard (toe) remains sidelined. Slayton will look to up his production at the expense of the Rams in a Week 4 road battle.

Musters up 33 yards
Slayton hauled in three of five targets for 33 yards in Sunday's 17-13 loss to the Bears.
Impact
Slayton was outstanding in Week 1 with a 6-101-2 line, but he registered a floor game in Week 2, as the Giants struggled to generate much offense. The 2019 fifth-round pick is a boom-or-bust player by nature of his deep targets, but it is a bit concerning that he only received two targets before the Giants' final drive. He'll look for a correction next week when the 49ers come to town.
