Wilson played 20 snaps (25 percent) and has handled a similar workload for most of the year. It'll be tough to get much tread as long as Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and CeeDee Lamb are healthy.

Impact Wilson will forever be tied to a dumbfounding coaching decision by Mike McCarthy and the Cowboys special-teams group, as his rush attempt on a fake punt in the fourth quarter failed miserably, turning the tide permanently in Washington's favor. The 25-year-old had posted receptions in consecutive games entering the Thanksgiving matchup, but his offensive contributions have been mostly forgettable since a 107-yard, two-touchdown effort Week 3 against Seattle. Over his past eight outings, Wilson has managed only 11 receptions for 79 yards, adding an 11-yard TD pass to his ledger Week 5 against the Giants.

Impact With a pair of drops over his first 25 targets of 2020, it comes as no great surprise that Wilson's workload has been curtailed in recent weeks. Certainly a season-ending ankle injury to the electrifying Dak Prescott has factored into Wilson's reduced production as well. The 2018 sixth-round draft choice has just one catch on five combined targets over his past three outings, after collecting 173 receiving yards on 20 targets between Weeks 3 and 6.

Impact Wilson was heating up over Dak Prescott's final three appearances of the year between Weeks 3 and 5, but a season-ending ankle injury to the star quarterback fizzled out the receiver's production. The Boise State standout collected 12 receptions for 163 yards and two touchdowns during that three-week span, but he's gone catchless over his past two games with Andy Dalton (concussion) and Ben DiNucci under center.

Impact Wilson's production has been steadily trending downward since his 107-yard, two-touchdown effort against the Seahawks in Week 3. He had averaged 22 receiving yards Weeks 4 through 6, and Sunday against Washington he was held without a catch for the third time this season. Dallas' offense has been struggling mightily since Dak Prescott suffered a season-ending ankle injury Oct. 11 against the Giants, and things went from bad to worse when Andy Dalton entered concussion protocol during the Week 7 loss. Philadelphia offers a promising Week 8 matchup if Dallas can steady its quarterback situation, as the Eagles have surrendered a 68.4 percent catch rate and seven receiving TDs to opposing wideouts.

Impact Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore continue to find creative ways to get his No. 4 wide receiver involved. In this game, Wilson took a pitch from Prescott on an apparent reverse, only to throw the ball back to a wide-open QB for a score. With Prescott now lost for the season, however, and Andy Dalton taking over under center, Wilson's role could change or even disappear if the offense puts more emphasis on the running game.

Impact While he predictably didn't come close to matching his two-TD performance from the week before, Wilson still saw a surprising amount of action in another late comeback attempt by Dallas, and he even got more targets than Michael Gallup. Wilson could be less involved in the passing game in Week 5, however, if the Cowboys can avoid digging a big hole against the Giants.

Career day in Seattle Wilson caught five of seven targets for 107 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 38-31 loss to the Seahawks.

Impact The 25-year-old came into the game with only five catches for 46 yards in his career, but Wilson blew those numbers out of the water while scoring his first two TDs in the NFL. Both scores came on similar routes, as Wilson caught slants from Dak Prescott in the second and third quarters and took them to the house, with the receptions going for 40 and 42 yards, respectively. Despite the huge performance, he's still the No. 4 man on the depth chart, and Prescott won't attempt more than 50 passes or throw for over 400 yards every week. However, Wilson has at least demonstrated that if injuries ever allow him to move into a more prominent role, he may be able to take advantage.

Solidifying hold on No. 4 WR spot Wilson spent extra time working out with Dak Prescott in the offseason and has put together an impressive camp to date, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.

Impact A sixth-round pick in 2018, Wilson has good size and athleticism but hasn't yet been consistently healthy enough to make any kind of impact for the Cowboys. Even if he avoids further injuries, there aren't likely to be a lot of targets available in an offense that already needs to account for Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, 2020 first-round pick CeeDee Lamb and Ezekiel Elliott, but Wilson at least seems to be locking down the No. 4 spot on the wide receiver depth chart.

Impact Wilson's 2019 season ended in December due to a knee injury. The issue was not considered especially serious and surgery was not required, and he now appears on track to hit the ground running in 2020. The 24-year-old suited up for just six games prior to going down with the injury and recorded five receptions for 46 yards in the process. While Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup and rookie CeeDee Lamb are clearly on top of the Cowboys' receiving pecking order, Wilson is a strong candidate to potentially end up as fourth on the depth chart.
