Accepts reduced salary Wilson reworked his contract with the Saints, reducing his 2015 base salary from $3.4 million to $1.17 million, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The new salary is league minimum for a player with Wilson's service time. This improves his chances of earning a roster spot, and the contract is still scheduled to void after the 2025 season. The 29-year-old played 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2024, catching 20 of 27 targets for 211 yards and one touchdown while mostly serving as the team's third or fourth wide receiver. Wilson's role in 2025, or lack thereof, will partially depend on the health of Chris Olave (head) and Rashid Shaheed (knee).
MARCH 19 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet first season in New Orleans Wilson appeared in 15 regular-season games for the Saints in 2024, totaling 20 catches (on 27 targets) for 211 yards and one touchdown.
Impact Wilson saw consistent playing time as the third or fourth wideout for the Saints this season. The 29-year-old joined New Orleans on a two-year, $5.2 million contract in March after spending his previous two seasons in Miami. Wilson was expected to provide some veteran depth behind top wideouts Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee), but he never made much of an impact even though Olave missed the final nine games and Shaheed missed the final 11 games of the season. Wilson logged more than three receptions in just one game, and he ultimately finished with less than 25 receptions for the third season in a row. He'll likely have to compete for a reserve role once again heading into the 2025 season.
JANUARY 13 • ROTOWIRE
Makes one catch in Week 14 Wilson took the field for 25 of the Saints' 68 snaps on offense and finished with an 18-yard reception on his lone target in Sunday's 14-11 win over the Giants.
Impact Wilson served as New Orleans' No. 3 wideout in Week 14, narrowly edging out Dante Pettis (21 snaps) in playing time. Though the losses of Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) have opened up more opportunities in the Saints' wideout corps, Wilson hasn't been able to capitalize. Since accruing a season-best 6-57-1 receiving line on seven targets in Week 7 against Denver, Wilson has managed just four catches for 71 yards and no touchdowns on five targets over his subsequent four appearances.

Back in action Sunday Wilson (shoulder) is listed as active Sunday against the Browns.
Impact Wilson has missed two of the last three games, first due to a hip injury and then a shoulder issue, but after being listed as limited on all three Week 11 practice reports, he'll be back in action Sunday. The Saints currently have three wide receivers -- Chris Olave (concussion, Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Bub Means (ankle) -- on injured reserve, and Mason Tipton is a healthy scratch, so Wilson will be vying with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and the elevated Kevin Austin and Dante Pettis for snaps. In his last three appearances, Wilson has accrued a 10-119-1 line on 13 targets.
NOVEMBER 17, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable for Week 11 Wilson (shoulder) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Cleveland, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Wilson was a limited practice participant all week after missing Sunday's 20-17 win over the Falcons. He may have a significant role if he avoids the inactive list before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, as the Saints have arguably the thinnest WR room in the league right now. Their wideouts combined for just six targets in the win last week, with two of those being TD passes to Marquez Valdes-Scantling.
NOVEMBER 15, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Stays limited Thursday Wilson (shoulder) was limited at practice Thursday.
Impact Wilson injured his shoulder Week 9 at Carolina and wasn't able to practice last week en route to inactive status this past Sunday against the Falcons. With back-to-back capped sessions to begin Week 11 prep,, he's put himself in a position to return to action Sunday versus the Browns, but Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not he takes a designation into the weekend.
NOVEMBER 14, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited Wednesday Wilson (shoulder) practiced in a limited fashion Wednesday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact Wilson wasn't able to mix into any drills last week before he was ruled out for this past Sunday's contest versus the Falcons due to a shoulder injury, so his ability to handle some on-field work to kick off Week 11 prep generally is a positive sign. He'll have two more sessions this week to put himself on a path to returning to action Sunday against the Browns.
NOVEMBER 13, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not playing Sunday Wilson (shoulder) has been ruled out for Sunday's game versus the Falcons.
Impact In the first contest without Chris Olave (concussion), Wilson won't be available to the Saints offense after being listed as a non-participant during the entirety of Week 10 prep. That leaves Mason Tipton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jermaine Jackson as the available wide receivers on the Saints' active roster, while Dante Pettis, Equanimeous St. Brown and Kevin Austin are candidates to be elevated from the practice squad.
NOVEMBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Still not practicing Wilson (shoulder) was a non-participant at Thursday's practice, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Impact Wilson is one of two Saints wide receivers to be held out of drills so far this week, but Chris Olave seems far more likely to miss time due to the concussion that he sustained this past Sunday in Carolina. Nevertheless, Wilson likely will need to practice in some capacity Friday in order to have a chance to suit up Sunday against the Falcons.
NOVEMBER 7, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
DNP due to shoulder injury Wilson (shoulder) didn't practice Wednesday.
Impact Wilson missed some time during this past Sunday's loss at Carolina due to a shoulder injury but ultimately was able to finish out the contest on his way to two catches (on three targets) for 34 yards. With a DNP under his belt to begin Week 10 prep, his status will be on to monitor to see if he may be able to help fill in for Chris Olave, who emerged from Week 9 with a concussion following a big hit and may need a stint on injured reserve.
NOVEMBER 6, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Deals with injury again Week 9 Wilson reeled in two of three targets for 34 yards during Sunday's 23-22 loss versus Carolina.
Impact Wilson briefly exited with a shoulder injury during the second quarter but was able to return before the end of the first half. The 28-year-old ended up playing just under half of the Saints' offensive snaps, and he tied with Mason Tipton for the most targets of any of the team's wideouts. Neither receiver played a significantly role even though WR1 Chris Olave was forced out with a concussion in the first quarter. Instead, running back Alvin Kamara and versatile tight end Taysom Hill led the team in targets with nine and five, respectively. Wilson logged a season-high seven targets when Olave was sidlined for the Week 7 loss to Denver. Wilson should serve as one of the primary wideouts alongside Tipton if Olave ends up missing next Sunday's game versus the Falcons.
NOVEMBER 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Returns versus Carolina Wilson (shoulder) returned to Sunday's game against the Panthers, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Impact Wilson exited during the second quarter with a shoulder injury, but he returned at some point in the second half and caught at least one pass in the fourth quarter. The veteran should serve as one of the Saints' primary wideouts alongside Mason Tipton for the remainder of the game.
NOVEMBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Injures shoulder Sunday Wilson exited Sunday's game at Carolina due to a shoulder injury.
Impact Prior to his departure in the second quarter, Wilson hauled in his only target for 18 yards. In a game in which fellow WR Chris Olave (concussion) also left early following a scary hit, the Saints are down to Mason Tipton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jermaine Jackson at the position.
NOVEMBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Active in Week 9 Wilson (hip) is active for Sunday's game at Carolina.
Impact Wilson's status for Week 9 was thrown into question after he managed two limited sessions due to a hip injury. The Saints are down two wide receivers -- Rashid Shaheed (knee) and Bub Means (ankle) -- on injured reserve, so the receiving corps aside from Chris Olave consists of Mason Tipton, Wilson, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jermaine Jackson.
NOVEMBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Status in question for Sunday Wilson (hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Carolina, John Hendrix of SI.com reports.
Impact Wilson managed a pair of limited practices to wrap up Week 9 prep after sitting out Wednesday's session due to a hip injury, giving him a chance to be available Week 9. Meanwhile, fellow WR Bub Means (ankle) has been ruled out for Sunday's game. With Rashid Shaheed (knee) out for the season, Wilson would be among the options behind Chris Olave for snaps and targets if he's active along with Mason Tipton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jermaine Jackson.
NOVEMBER 1, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in return to practice Wilson (hip) was limited in practice Thursday, Katherine Terrell of ESPN.com reports.
Impact While Wilson bumped up from being a non-participant at Wednesday's session, fellow WR Bub Means continued to sit out due to a high-ankle sprain. Among the duo, Wilson thus appears to be the better bet to be available Sunday at Carolina, but Friday's injury report may provide a sense of his odds to suit up for that contest.
OCTOBER 31, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Wednesday Wilson (hip) didn't practice Wednesday.
Impact The same can be said for fellow WR Bub Means, who emerged from the Saints' Week 8 defeat to the Chargers with a high-ankle sprain. Wilson hasn't practiced since last Wednesday, when he was limited, so he may need to return to the field in at least that capacity to have a chance to return to action Sunday in Carolina. At the moment, Chris Olave, Mason Tipton, Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Jermaine Johnson are the healthy options at the position on New Orleans' active roster.
OCTOBER 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Not available Sunday Wilson (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Impact Wilson opened Week 8 prep with a limited practice Wednesday, but after downgrading to no activity Thursday and Friday, the Saints will hold him out Sunday for what will be the receiver's first absence of the season. The 28-year-old had produced a season-best 6-57-1 receiving line on eight targets in the Saints' Week 7 loss to the Broncos, but even if he hadn't suffered the hip injury, Wilson likely would have seen a decreased role Sunday with top wideout Chris Olave (concussion) returning from a one-game absence.
OCTOBER 25, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
No practice Thursday Wilson (hip) didn't practice Thursday.
Impact After logging a limited session Wednesday due to a hip injury, Wilson didn't mix into drills at all one day later, which is a somewhat worrisome sign in advance of the weekend. Friday's practice could be telling for his odds to suit up Sunday at the Chargers, but if he ends up being available, he'd help to fill the void left behind by Rashid Shaheed, who is out for the season following meniscus surgery.
OCTOBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with hip issue Wilson was limited at Wednesday's practice due to a hip injury.
Impact Wilson is on the heels of his top two snap shares of the campaign, notching eight catches (on 10 targets) for 85 yards and one touchdown between Weeks 6 and 7. With Rashid Shaheed out for the rest of the campaign due to meniscus surgery and Chris Olave in the concussion protocol, Wilson has an opportunity to continue being relevant in the Saints offense, but a health concern now puts a potential wrench in that expectation.
OCTOBER 23, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Catches late TD versus Denver Wilson hauled in six of seven targets for 57 yards and one touchdown during Thursday's 33-10 loss against the Broncos.
Impact Wilson served as the No. 3 wide receiver with top wideouts Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) both out. With just under 1..5 minutes, the 28-year-old caught a 12-yard touchdown pass from No. 3 quarterback Jake Haener, who took the reins from rookie starter Spencer Rattler late in this blowout loss. Wilson finished with a team-high in receiving yards, but he played fewer offensive snaps (69) than rookie wideouts Bub Means (89) and Mason Tipton (83). Given that most of Wilson's production came late in the game, he should be considered a less valuable fantasy option than either Means or Tipton, and his value should only decrease further once Olave returns. The Saints will have some extra time to rest before facing the Chargers on Sunday, Oct. 27.

OCTOBER 18, 2024 • NEWORLEANSSAINTS.COM
Good to go vs. Denver Wilson (ankle) was a full participant during Wednesday's walkthrough session and does not carry an injury designation into Thursday's game against the Broncos.
Impact Wilson's ankle is unlikely at 100 percent, but he's played through the injury for most of the regular season and will do so Thursday. Top wideouts Chris Olave (concussion) and Rashid Shaheed (knee) have both been ruled out, so Wilson should be on the field for three-wideout sets alongside Mason Tipton and Bub Means.
OCTOBER 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Limited in Tuesday's walkthrough Wilson (ankle) was listed as a limited participant during Tuesday's walkthrough.
Impact Wilson has played through an ankle injury through most of the regular season. Barring any setbacks, he should be good to go for Thursday's game against the Broncos. Wilson caught two passes (on three targets) for 28 yards during the Saints' Week 6 loss to the Buccaneers.
