Headed to Philadelphia The Eagles signed Latu to a reserve/future contract Tuesday, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Impact Latu spent most of the 2024 regular season on the Browns' practice squad after being waived by the 49ers at the end of training camp in late August. Latu will have an opportunity to work with Eagles' training staff in the spring during OTAs and minicamp and will aim to earn a spot on the 53-man roster for the 2025 campaign. He has yet to appear in an NFL regular-season game since being selected by San Francisco in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 101st overall.

Back with Browns' practice squad Cleveland signed Latu to the practice squad Tuesday.

Impact After being waived by the 49ers after failing to make the 53-man roster at the end of training camp, Latu caught on with the Browns on the practice squad. He was let go by Cleveland on Dec. 18, but he's back on the practice squad and could be elevated for the Browns' regular-season finale against the Ravens on Saturday if David Njoku (knee) is unable to play.

David Njoku (undisclosed) and Jordan Akins are the only two tight ends on the Browns' active roster, and if either of them were to miss time, Latu would be a prime candidate to be elevated to the active roster.
