Dealing with shoulder injury Erving was limited in practice Tuesday due to a shoulder injury, David Newton of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Erving linked up with the Panthers via a two-year, $10 million contract back in March, priming him for the starting role at left tackle. Taylor Moton will handle those reps as long as Erving is limited, but there doesn't appear to be any real reason for concern about his Week 1 status.

Impact Erving left Thursday's game against Washington in the second half and was quickly ruled out. The nature of the injury has yet to be revealed.
