Back on Seattle's practice squad Johnson signed with the Seahawks' practice squad Wednesday, Tim Weaver of USA Today reports.

Impact Johnson was cut from Seattle's practice squad a week ago to make room for running back BJ Emmons, but the team has opted to bring him back. The undrafted rookie has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Misses out on roster spot Johnson was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, John Boyle of the team's official site reports.

Impact Johnson led all Seahawks wide receivers in receptions (nine) and yards (72). However, the Seahawks' are willing to risk losing the undrafted rookie on waivers despite keeping just four wideouts on their initial 53-man roster. The 23-year-old was excellent in his final two seasons at South Dakota State, recording 2,554 receiving yards and 25 touchdowns.

Targeted seven times Johnson caught three of seven targets for 34 yards in Saturday's 30-3 preseason loss to the Broncos.

Impact Johnson now has 12 targets through the first two preseason games, and he has recorded seven receptions for 59 yards (4.9 YPT). With news that John Ursua is out for the year with a torn ACL, Johnson has a path to a spot on the 53-man roster if the Seahawks choose to keep six wide receivers.
