INJURIES

Remains sidelined Friday Perriman (hip/abdomen) didn't practice Friday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Per Auman, coach Bruce Arians noted Friday that Perriman has "a torn muscle in his side" and with that in mind it doesn't seem likely the wideout will be available Sunday against the Rams. With Cyril Grayson (hamstring) also iffy for the Buccaneers' divisional-round contest, John Brown is a candidate to be elevated from the team's practice squad to provide added depth behind Mike Evans and Tyler Johnson.

DNP on Thursday Perriman (hip) did not practice Thursday, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
Impact The wide receiver remained unavailable for practice Thursday after also being absent Wednesday while nursing a hip issue. Perriman's reps were limited to open last week before he ramped up activity Friday, and he ultimately entered the Buccaneers' wild-card matchup versus the Eagles without an injury designation. His ability to participate at Friday's practice will provide a clearer indication of his chances to play in the team's divisional-round contest against the Rams on Sunday. If he can't go, Scotty Miller would be a likely candidate for increased snaps in the game.

No practice Wednesday Perriman (hip) didn't practice Wednesday.
Impact Last week, Perriman had a cap on his reps in the first two sessions due to a hip issue before bumping up to full activity Friday and not carrying an injury designation into this past Sunday's wild-card win over the Eagles. With Cyril Grayson (hamstring) sidelined, Perriman ranked third among Buccaneers wide receivers in snap share (49 percent), trailing only Mike Evans (81) and Tyler Johnson (77). Now, Perriman has joined Grayson as a non-participant in practice to begin the week, leaving even more question marks in a position group that's down Chris Godwin (knee) for the postseason. Friday's injury report could clarify the status of the team's tertiary wideout options for Sunday's divisional-round matchup with the Rams.
JANUARY 19, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
One catch in postseason opener Perriman secured one of three targets for five yards during the Buccaneers' 31-15 win over the Eagles in an NFC wild-card matchup Sunday.
Impact The veteran played a minor role in the postseason-opening win, with every other pass catcher but blocking tight end O.J. Howard and seldom-used Scotty Miller recording more receptions. Perriman had seen a surge in production Week 18 against the Panthers in the form of a 5-44-0 line on six targets, but as Sunday demonstrated, his involvement is likely to be very volatile for the remainder of the Buccaneers' playoff run.

Brady, SB champions focused on Eagles, not personal success

Tom Brady’s looking ahead, though not beyond this weekend
JANUARY 14, 2022 • Associated Press
Good to go Perriman (hip) was a full practice participant Friday and doesn't have a designation on the final injury report for Sunday's wild-card game against Philadelphia.
Impact With Cyril Grayson (hamstring) ruled out, it'll likely be Perriman and Tyler Johnson working in support of primary pass catchers Mike Evans and Rob Gronkowski. The Eagles have allowed the second-fewest fantasy points to wide receivers and the most to tight ends, but Perriman nonetheless offers some upside as a potential deep threat for quarterback Tom Brady.
JANUARY 14, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Another limited showing Perriman (hip) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday, Carmen Vitali of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact The Buccaneers are fairly banged-up at wide receiver as they move on to the postseason. Chris Godwin (knee) is out for the season, Mike Evans (hamstring) upgraded from limited Wednesday to full Thursday, Cyril Grayson (hamstring) hasn't practiced this week, and both Perriman and Justin Watson have had a cap on their on-field reps. Assuming Perriman is able to suit up Sunday against the Eagles, he should mix into three-wide sets with Evans and Tyler Johnson.

JANUARY 13, 2022 • BUCCANEERS.COM
Listed as limited to start week Perriman (hip) is listed as a limited participant for Wednesday's walk-through practice.
Impact Fellow wide receiver Cyril Grayson (hamstring) was held out, hours after head coach Bruce Arians deemed him doubtful for Sunday's game against Philadelphia. Assuming Perriman's hip issue is minor, he'll likely join Mike Evans and Tyler Johnson as a regular in three-receiver sets, with the other options being Scotty Miller, Jaelon Darden and possibly Justin Watson (quadriceps).

Five grabs in finale Perriman brought in five of six targets for 44 yards in the Buccaneers' 41-17 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
Impact Perriman tied for second in receptions among the team's wideout group, putting together a solid performance ahead of the start of the postseason. The journeyman has been a serviceable part of the air attack in recent weeks as the pass-catching corps has endured notable attrition, but Sunday's outing was his best yet in terms of number of receptions. Given his experience, Perriman could slot in as the No. 2 wideout for next Sunday's wild-card matchup against the Eagles.
JANUARY 10, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Pair of grabs in win Perriman hauled in two of three targets for 41 yards in the Buccaneers' 28-24 win over the Jets on Sunday.
Impact Perriman logged a 32-yard grab, the second longest of the day for Tampa Bay, against one of his old squads, but his afternoon was fairly uneventful overall. However, that may not be the case in Week 18 and the postseason, as Antonio Brown's expected release will potentially bump Perriman up all the way to the No. 2 receiver role.
JANUARY 4, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Comes off COVID-19 list Tampa Bay reinstated Perriman (illness) from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site reports.
Impact Perriman was placed on the list Dec. 18, with the timing of his positive test of the virus resulting in him missing both of the past two games while he recuperated. Now healthy again, Perriman could find himself in a more prominent role in a Buccaneers receiver room that looks much different from when he last played Week 14 against the Bills. Since then, Antonio Brown has returned from an extended absence due to an ankle injury and a suspension, while Chris Godwin (knee) is shut down for the season and Mike Evans (hamstring) is week-to-week. Evans will have a chance at returning Sunday against the Jets, but even if he and Brown are able to handle full workloads, Perriman could push Tyler Johnson and Cyril Grayson for the No. 3 spot on the depth chart. Grayson essentially filled Perriman's role as Tampa Bay's designated downfield threat in the Week 16 win over the Panthers, recording 81 yards on three receptions while playing 82 percent of the snaps on offense. He then reverted to the practice squad following the game.

Not activated for Week 16 Perriman (illness) wasn't reinstated from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's game against the Panthers, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Tampa Bay placed Perriman on the list Dec. 18, but the fact that he hasn't cleared the NFL's COVID-19 return-to-play protocol more than a week later suggests he tested positive for the virus. He'll miss his second straight game as a result, with his absence looming larger than normal for Tampa Bay with starting receivers Mike Evans (hamstring) and Chris Godwin (knee) sidelined for the contest. Fortunately for Tampa Bay, Antonio Brown (ankle/suspension) and Justin Watson (knee) are back after extended absences, with the latter representing a candidate to replace Perriman as the team's No. 4 wideout.
DECEMBER 26, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Could return Sunday Coach Bruce Arians said Monday that Perriman (undisclosed) could return from the reserve/COVID-19 list prior to Sunday's game against Carolina, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
Impact Perriman was inactive for Sunday's matchup against the Saints while on the reserve/COVID-19 list, but he could be back in action following a one-game absence. If the 28-year-old returns to the field against the Panthers, he should see an uptick in playing time since Chris Godwin has been ruled out for the season with a torn ACL.
DECEMBER 20, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Going on COVID-19 list The Buccaneers are slated to place Perriman (undisclosed) on the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact Perriman thus will be unavailable for Sunday's game against the Saints, leaving Tyler Johnson, Scotty Miller and Jaelon Darden as the reserves behind starting wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Assuming he clears league protocols in time, Perriman's next chance to play will be Sunday, Dec. 26 at Carolina.

Maximizes one catch Perriman secured one of two targets for a game-winning 58-yard touchdown during the Buccaneers' 33-27 overtime win over the Bills on Sunday.
Impact The speedy veteran took a short catch on a crossing pattern in overtime and turned it upfield, outrunning multiple Bills defenders down the right sideline for the score, which was his first touchdown since Week 11 of last season while with the Jets. Perriman is a legitimate downfield threat due to his game-breaking speed, but his questionable hands have always put a cap on his overall fantasy value. However, with Antonio Brown still on suspension for a Week 15 Sunday night showdown against the Saints, Perriman could see a downfield look or two, but he was notably out-snapped by Tyler Johnson, 49-26, against Buffalo.
