Looks set for MNF start
Snell is expected to start Monday's game in Cincinnati, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact
The Steelers have ruled James Conner (quadriceps) out for Monday night's road contest, a move which leaves Snell as the No. 1 option atop the depth chart. Snell stands to handle the bulk of Pittsburgh's carries, while Jaylen Samuels and Anthony McFarland could see increased opportunities through the air.

Minimal role against Buffalo
Snell recorded three carries for 14 yards in Sunday's 26-15 loss to the Bills.
Impact
Snell saw increased work over the last several weeks with James Conner sidelined, but he was on the field for just five offensive snaps Sunday with Conner back on the field. Snell's seven-yard carry was the longest of the game for Pittsburgh, but he was outpaced by both Conner and Jaylen Samuels offensively. As long as Conner remains healthy, the 2019 fourth-rounder likely will maintain a minimal role within the Steelers offense.

Returns to backup role
Snell will return to a backup role in the Pittsburgh backfield following James Conner's activation from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Snell picked up two starts while Conner was out of the lineup. He had a number of key runs in Pittsburgh's Week 12 win over Baltimore, but Snell took a big step back in Week 13, carrying eight times for five yards in a loss to Washington on Monday. Coming off such an unproductive day against the Football Team, Snell might have to settle for a bit role behind Conner rather than working in a timeshare with Pittsburgh's top back.

Unproductive in starting opportunity
Snell rushed eight times for five yards and caught two of three targets for five yards in Monday's 23-17 loss to Washington.
Impact
Snell failed to take advantage of his opportunity to start in place of James Conner (illness). The tailback was notably stuffed on a couple goal-line carries during the second quarter, narrowly missing out on a touchdown that otherwise would have somewhat salvaged an unproductive outing. However, with next to nothing to show for his effort Monday, it wouldn't be surprising if Snell takes a back seat in Week 14 should Conner be ready to return.

In line to start again Monday
Snell is slated for another start Monday against Washington with James Conner (illness) unlikely to return to action, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
Impact
Conner is eligible to be activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Monday, but even if he is the fourth-year running back is slated for a second straight DNP. In that scenario, Snell will head the Steelers backfield yet again, which translated to 19 touches for 93 yards from scrimmage this past Wednesday versus the Ravens. Meanwhile, reserve RB Anthony McFarland turned his four touches into 26 total yards.

Grinds to 93 total yards
Snell carried the ball 16 times for 60 yards Wednesday against the Ravens. He added three receptions for 33 yards.
Impact
Snell served as the clear lead back with James Conner (illness) sidelined, claiming 16 of the 19 carries dedicated to the Steelers backfield. He was regularly met at the line of scrimmage early in the game, but he managed carries of 10 and 13 yards in the fourth quarter to aid his performance. Snell also was surprisingly effective as a receiver, turning in two receptions of 13 yards apiece. If Conner is not activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list for the Steelers' Week 13 matchup against Washington, Snell should be in line for a significant workload once again.

Set for major role Week 12
Snell is expected to lead the backfield in Tuesday's game against the Ravens, Brooke Pryor of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
It's still uncertain whether Tuesday's game will actually happen with positive COVID-19 tests in each facility. However, if the game kicks off as planned, Snell should operate as the Steelers' lead back with both James Conner (COVID-19) and Jaylen Samuels (quadriceps) ruled out. That warrants major fantasy upside, although Snell's inefficiencies are a concern. Since taking the lion's share of the work in Week 1, he's been credited with just 2.2 yards per carry over the last eight games, while Conner produced 4.6 YPC in the same offense. Anthony McFarland figures to slot into a change-of-pace role behind Snell.

Reaches end zone in Week 11
Snell recorded seven carries for 15 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 27-3 win over the Jaguars.
Impact
Snell had a fair amount of work on the goal line to begin the season, but he had limited touches over the past several weeks. However, he was more involved in Sunday's comfortable win, and he found pay dirt for the first time since Week 7 with a one-yard rush late in the second quarter. The 22-year-old has seen inconsistent usage this season, but it was encouraging to see him receive seven touches against the Jaguars.

Minimal usage once again
Snell recorded three carries for 12 yards in Sunday's 36-10 win over the Bengals.
Impact
Even though the Steelers maintained a considerable lead throughout the second half, Snell saw minimal work once again as the team elected to rely on its starters down the stretch. As a result, the 2019 fourth-rounder was on the field for just four offensive snaps late in the game. Snell was efficient as he averaged 4.0 yards per carry, but he's been mainly relegated to special teams in recent weeks.

Logs three carries in Week 9
Snell recorded three carries for one yard in Sunday's 24-19 win over the Cowboys.
Impact
Snell saw the least usage of any Steelers running back Sunday as most of his workload came on special teams once again. The 22-year-old saw some goal-line carries earlier in the season, but his role in the offense has greatly diminished in recent weeks as he's logged just five offensive snaps over the past two games.

ROTOWIRE
No carries in Week 8
Snell didn't see any snaps on offense in Sunday's 28-24 win over the Ravens.
Impact
Snell was active for Sunday's game and wasn't dealing with any sort of injury leading up to the Week 8 matchup, but he wasn't a factor in the offense as the Steelers leaned heavily on the passing game. The 2019 fourth-rounder had seen some goal-line work over the past several weeks, but he wasn't involved in the game script against Baltimore.

ROTOWIRE
Scores another TD in win
Snell rushed twice for two yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-24 win over the Titans.
Impact
While Snell was on the field for just six of a possible 79 snaps on offense in the Week 7 contest, both of his carries came on the goal line as he found the end zone for a second consecutive week. The 2019 fourth-round pick saw less playing time than Jaylen Samuels (nine snaps), but Snell's workload on the goal line over the past several weeks has propped up his fantasy value.
