Won't play Week 16 Maddox (pectoral) has been ruled out ahead of Monday's game against the Giants.
Impact Though Maddox was a full participant in Saturday's practice, the 27-year-old cornerback did not get activated off injured reserve and he'll miss Philadelphia's Christmas day contest. With Maddox missing his 13th consecutive game Monday, Eli Ricks and Bradley Roby are expected to see more snaps in the Eagles' secondary.

Impact Maddox can now practice with the team as this move opens his 21-day window before he needs to be placed on the 53-man roster. Impact Maddox picked up a toe injury Week 16 and sat out the Eagles' ensuing three games, but he was able to return for the NFC Championship Game versus the 49ers, recording three tackles on 19 of 41 defensive snaps. He didn't practice at all during the first week of Super Bowl prep, but he followed up back-to-back limited sessions Wednesday and Thursday with all activity to cap this week. As a result, Maddox is poised to be a part of an Eagles cornerback group Sunday that also includes Darius Slay and James Bradberry.
