INJURIES

Leading receiver in loss Okwuegbunam caught all three of his targets for 77 yards in Sunday's 30-13 loss to the Eagles.
Impact The tight end did most of his damage on a 64-yard grab in the second quarter that set up a Broncos field goal, but that was enough to allow Okwuegbunam to lead the team in receiving yards while also setting a new career single-game high for the second-year player. With Noah Fant (5-59 on six targets Sunday) atop the depth chart at his position, however, Okwuegbunam's production will likely remain volatile on the other side of Denver's Week 11 bye.

Active in Week 10 Okwuegbunam (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Zac Stevens of the TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact The second-year tight end will revert back to No. 2 duties with Noah Fant available after missing Week 9 due to a stint on the reserve/COVID-19 list. However, Okwuegbunam should still enjoy a modest role in the passing game and checks in with multiple receptions in each of the last two games, the former contest with Fant available.
NOVEMBER 14, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Listed as questionable for Week 10 Okwuegbunam (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game against the Eagles, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam was unable to practice Wednesday but then managed to participate on a limited basis both Thursday and Friday. Denver got Noah Fant back from the reserve/COVID-19 list this week, so Albert O will work in a complementary role at tight end if he manages to play through the knee injury.
NOVEMBER 12, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Increases practice activity Broncos head coach Vic Fangio said Okwuegbunam (knee) will be a limited participant in Thursday's practice, George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam's upgrade from no activity at Wednesday's practice to a limited showing a day later seemingly suggests that he experienced no setbacks with the lingering knee injury coming out of last week's win over Dallas. Though he looks on track to be ready to play Sunday against the Eagles, Okwuegbunam is expected to see his playing time take a hit with top tight end Noah Fant (illness) having been activated from the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday after sitting out the Broncos' Week 9 victory.
NOVEMBER 11, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Does not practice Wednesday Okwuegbunam (knee) did not practice Wednesday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam was originally questionable for Week 9 against Dallas but ultimately suited up with Noah Fant (illness) out. Whether he missed practice as a precautionary measure or due to aggravating the injury is not yet known. He'll try to return to the practice field Thursday.
NOVEMBER 10, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Quiet in win Okwuegbunam secured four of five targets for 25 yards in Sunday's 30-16 win over the Cowboys.
Impact Okwuegbunam started in place of Noah Fant (illness), but he was unable to capitalize on his opportunity as the team's No. 1 tight end. The 23-year-old played on 63 of the teams 78 offensive snaps and his five targets were tied with wideout Tim Patrick for the second most among Broncos pass catchers. With Fant likely rejoining the team for Week 10, Okwuegbunam can't be trusted to produce consistently for fantasy as Denver's No. 2 tight end. Nonetheless, the 6-foot-5, 258-pounder gets a matchup against the Eagles in a Week 10 showdown.

Back in action Okwuegbunam (knee) has returned to Sunday's game against the Cowboys, George Stoia III of The Denver Gazette reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam aggravated his knee injury and was labeled questionable to return early in the second half, but he'll play through the issue and is back on the field for Denver.
NOVEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Aggravates knee injury Okwuegbunam exited Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a knee injury, Nick Kosmider of The Athletic reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam was questionable for Sunday's contest due to a knee injury, and it appears he aggravated the injury. He started in place of Noah Fant (illness) and caught four of five targets for 25 yards prior to exiting the game.
NOVEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Active in Week 9 Okwuegbunam (knee) is listed as active Sunday at Dallas, Aric DiLalla of the Broncos' official site reports.
Impact With Noah Fant out of commission due to a bout with COVID-19, Okwuegbunam will get the start at tight end and likely earn a majority share of snaps afforded Broncos tight ends with just Eric Saubert and Andrew Beck to contend with at the position. Okwuegbunam's practice reps were capped this week due to a knee injury, though, so it's not certain that he'll be the unquestioned No. 1 TE. On the season, he's been on point as a receiver, hauling in 12 of 13 passes for 91 yards and one touchdown.
NOVEMBER 7, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable Week 9 Okwuegbunam (knee) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Cowboys, Zac Stevens of TheDNVR.com reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam was limited at practice this week by the knee injury, but he may be able to play Sunday in Dallas. If available, the 23-year-old could have a larger role in Denver's aerial attack, as Broncos head coach Vic Fangio suggested Friday that Noah Fant (illness) won't be ready to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list ahead of Sunday's contest, per Nick Kosmider of The Athletic.

Limited practice Wednesday Okwuegbunam was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam was previously sidelined Weeks 5 through 7 due to a hamstring injury, but he returned to action in Sunday's win over Washington and played 49 percent of the Broncos' offensive snaps and hauled in all three of his targets for 34 yards. He's now contending with a new injury, but the fact that he was on the practice field in any capacity to begin Week 9 suggests he'll likely be ready to go for this weekend's game in Dallas. If cleared to play, Okwuegbunam could step into a larger role in Denver's passing attack after top tight end Noah Fant (illness) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday.
NOVEMBER 3, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Three grabs in return Okwuegbunam caught all three of his targets for 34 yards in Sunday's 17-10 win over Washington.
Impact Okwuegbunam was activated off injured reserve Saturday ahead of the matchup with Washington, returning from a hamstring injury suffered in Week 5. In his return, the tight end played on 49 percent of the team's offensive snaps. His usage would suggest that the 23-year-old could continue to eat into starter Noah Fant's target share as the year goes on. Nonetheless, Okwuegbunam carries little fantasy value as the No. 2 tight end in Denver outside of an injury to Fant. Okwuegbunam and the Broncos will take on the Cowboys in Week 8.

Returns from IR Okwuegbunam (hamstring) was activated off injured reserve Saturday, Mike Klis of 9News Denver reports.
Impact The Broncos activated both Okwuegbunam and Jerry Jeudy (ankle) ahead of Sunday's matchup, setting the duo up to make their respective returns. Okwuegbunam will still operate behind Noah Fant as the No. 2 tight end, but the Missouri product seemingly has carved out a bigger role in his second season with the team, tallying nine receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown in the four games prior to his injury.

No setbacks at practice Okwuegbunam (hamstring) hasn't experienced any setbacks since returning to practice Tuesday, Ryan O'Halloran of The Denver Post reports.
Impact Okwuegbunam remains on injured reserve, but the Broncos will have a 21-day window to evaluate him for activation after he was designated to return Tuesday. Once activated, the tight end should reclaim duties as the Broncos' No. 2 option at the position behind Noah Fant.
