AJ Dillon powers past goal line for second TD ' Packers vs. Seahawks Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon scores his second touchdown of the game on a two-yard run.
NOVEMBER 15, 2021 • PACKERS.COM
Plays hero off the bench Dillon ran for 66 yards and two touchdowns on 21 carries and caught two passes for 62 yards on two targets against Seattle on Sunday.
Impact Aaron Jones left the game with a knee injury that will require monitoring, though the Packers initially stated they believe it to be an MCL injury of some sort. A significant MCL sprain could keep Jones out multiple weeks, and if so it would require Dillon to step into a three-down, workhorse role like he did against the Seahaws. The upcoming Vikings run defense is no pushover, but Dillon is a substantial talent and could prove imposing with a bigger workload. If Jones is able to bounce back quickly and suit up against Minnesota, Dillon would likely revert to more of a flex consideration in fantasy.

AJ Dillon sets a new career-long on 50-yard reception ' Packers vs. Seahawks Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon has a 50-yard catch and run on a pass from quarterback Aaron Rodgers vs. the Seattle Seahawks.
NOVEMBER 15, 2021 • PACKERS.COM
Busy off bench Dillon ran for 46 yards on eight carries and caught four passes on four targets for 44 yards against Kansas City on Sunday.
Impact Dillon was very effective with his usage, but as the game went on Green Bay struggled to keep him consistently involved in the road loss. The Packers might want to get both Dillon and starter Aaron Jones more touches, especially if they're forced to start Jordan Love again when the Packers face the Seahawks in Green Bay. The first-time starter at quarterback wasn't prepared to direct the Packers offense, so the running back duo might be the best way to limit Love's exposure as a passer.

Green Bay Packers prepared to succeed with or without Aaron Rodgers

Green Bay Packers prepared to succeed with or without Aaron Rodgers
Expanded rushing opportunity in win Dillon rushed 16 times for 78 yards in the Packers' 24-21 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night.
Impact The big-bodied running back paced the Packers in carries on a night when Aaron Jones essentially pulled double duty as a de facto wide receiver due to the team's shortages at the position. Dillon was efficient with his opportunities, and his carry total was a season-high figure. Dillon has shown well on the three occasions on which he's logged double-digit rush attempts this season, which could potentially lead to more consistent opportunities as the second half of the campaign unfolds.

Diminished role in Week 7 Dillon had three carries for six yards and one reception for two yards in Sunday's 24-10 victory over Washington. He also lost his first fumble of the season late in the contest.
Impact Dillon was coming off a three-game stretch over which he averaged 13 touches and 78.3 yards from scrimmage per contest, but he played a reduced role Week 6 and made only a minor mark in the box score. At the least, Dillon's limited workload should leave him fresh for the Packers' Week 7 matchup with the Cardinals on Thursday, but he will have a tough time getting back on track against an Arizona defense that has allowed opposing running backs to find the end zone just once -- and once only -- all season.
OCTOBER 25, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Effective as complementary option Dillon rushed 11 times for 59 yards in the Packers' 24-14 win over the Bears on Sunday.
Impact Dillon was a highly effective thunder to Aaron Jones' lightning, averaging 5.4 yards per carry and ripping off a game-long 36-yard run. The big-bodied second-year back has eclipsed 50 rushing yards in two of his last three games, and although he was shut out of the air attack for the first time this season Sunday, Dillon continues to progressively augment his fantasy value in an offense in which lead back Jones' rushing touches are typically kept under 20.

While embracing Wisconsin, AJ Dillon has become a reliable every-down running back for the Packers After a rookie season in which he was sparsely used, AJ Dillon has shown in 2021 why the Packers used a second-round pick on him.

OCTOBER 14, 2021 • PACKERS.COM
Catches touchdown pass Dillon rushed eight times for 30 yards and caught all four of his targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 25-22 overtime win against the Bengals.
Impact Dillon surprised with his passing-game involvement early on, with all of his personal-best four receptions, including his first touchdown catch, coming before halftime. The bulldozing tailback then returned to his more customary role in the second half, ripping off a couple of nice runs in the third quarter. Although starter Aaron Jones saw 18 touches and racked up 103 rushing yards, Dillon also fared well while commanding double-digit touches for the second straight week. Now with back-to-back games of at least 75 scrimmage yards, Dillon will hope to remain a regular, productive complement to Jones in Week 6 versus the Bears.

Crosby hits 49-yarder after 3 misses, Packers top Bengals

Mason Crosby hit a 49-yard field goal in overtime after missing three straight attempts as the Green Bay Packers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 25-22
OCTOBER 10, 2021 • Associated Press
Expanded role in Week 4 win Dillon rushed 15 times for 81 yards and secured his only catch for 16 yards in the Packers' 27-17 win over the Steelers on Sunday.
Impact With the Packers comfortably ahead in the second half and Aaron Jones losing a fumble, Dillon got plenty of late-game work and made good use of it against a worn-out Steelers defense. The impressive power back hadn't seen more than six carries or gained more than 18 yards in any game prior to Sunday, however, as he remains a clear complementary option behind Jones under normal circumstances and therefore remains difficult to trust as a fantasy option on a week-to-week basis.
OCTOBER 4, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Clear to play Sunday Dillon (back) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game versus the Steelers, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
Impact Dillon and Aaron Jones (ankle) had their practice reps capped this week, but both backs will be available to Green Bay on Sunday. Through three games, Dillon has only had modest involvement in the Packers offense, topping out at a 30-percent offensive snap share and eight touches in a give week.
OCTOBER 1, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Dealing with back injury Dillon was added to Thursday's practice report as limited due to a back injury, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
Impact The Packers have capped Aaron Jones' reps this week as he tends to an ankle issue, and now the team's top two running backs have question marks hanging over their heads. There's been no indication either player is in danger of missing Sunday's game versus the Steelers, but the situation bears watching as the week goes on.
SEPTEMBER 30, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Role remains minimal Dillon recorded six carries for 18 yards and two receptions for eight yards in Sunday's 30-28 victory over the 49ers.
Impact Dillon received a season-high eight touches in Sunday's contest, but for the third time in as many games he put up only 26 yards from scrimmage. He's going to have a tough time getting on track Week 4, as the Packers will face a Steelers defense that has been stingy on opposing running backs. However, Dillon is worth hanging onto in most formats, as he would presumably assume most or all of Aaron Jones' workload should Green Bay's starting running back be unavailable for any reason.
SEPTEMBER 27, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Plays complementary role Monday Dillon had five carries for 18 yards and one reception for eight yards in Monday's 35-17 victory over the Lions.
Impact Dillon got the ball on just under a third of the 19 plays he was in the game for, but it was the Aaron Jones show in the backfield Monday night, and Dillon played only a complementary role. Dillon has not yet come close to matching the snaps and touches former backup running back Jamaal Williams put up the past two seasons, but his opportunities could still increase at some point to help keep Jones fresh.

SEPTEMBER 17, 2021 • PACKERS.COM
Five touches in opening loss Dillon had four carries for 19 yards and one reception for seven yards in Sunday's 38-3 loss to the Saints.
Impact Dillon's opportunities to produce Week 1 were limited, as he spent only 16 snaps on the field with the rest of the offense. He did rack up five touches while he was out there, though, so head coach Matt LaFleur did make an effort to get him the ball. The game script certainly was not in the Packers' favor Sunday, as they trailed the entire way, and even starting running back Aaron Jones played only 28 snaps. LaFleur said after the contest the Packers "didn't even attempt to run the ball enough," so look for the team to try to get more going on the ground against the Lions in Week 2.

AUGUST 29, 2021 • PACKERS.COM
Struggles in preseason finale Dillon took seven carries for 18 yards in Saturday's 19-0 preseason loss to Buffalo.
Impact Dillon got the start and the first carry, but he struggled to get anything going and couldn't punch the ball in for a TD on two chances inside the Buffalo five-yard line. With starters held out, Dillon and Kylin Hill got most of the backfield snaps with Jordan Love and the second-string offense. Dillon figures to get some carries Week 1 at New Orleans, but the exact nature of his role remains to be seen, as the 247-pounder offers a much different skill set than Aaron Jones' old backup Jamaal Williams (now with the Lions).
AUGUST 28, 2021 • ROTOWIRE
Looks good in limited touches Dillon gained 28 rushing yards on four carries and caught both his targets for 12 yards in Saturday's preseason loss to the Jets.
Impact With Aaron Jones among the regular-season starters held out by Green Bay on Saturday, Dillon got the start and powered his way to a couple big gains on the Packers' first series before he gave way to Kylin Hill. Dillon is set for a big increase in his workload in his second NFL season, but it would likely take an injury to Jones for him to make a consistent impact.
