Inactive versus Chicago
Dillon (coach's decision) is inactive for Friday's game against the Bears.
Impact
Dillon has been passed on the depth chart by both Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley behind Saquon Barkley. In six appearances this season, Dillon has rushed 12 times for 60 scoreless yards, adding two catches for 18 yards on two targets.

Healthy scratch Sunday
Dillon (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Impact
The running back last suited up in Week 6 against the Giants. Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley remain ahead of him on the depth chart.

Won't play Week 10
Dillon (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Packers.
Impact
Dillon will be a healthy scratch for a third consecutive game while the Eagles go with three active running backs in Saquon Barkley, Tank Bigsby and Will Shipley. Dillon's next opportunity to play is Week 11 against the Lions on Sunday.

Healthy scratch Week 7
Dillon (coach's decision) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Vikings.
Impact
Dillon has worked in a rotational role out of the backfield through the first six games of the regular season, but he will observe Sunday's road game on the sidelines in street clothes. The Eagles will go with a three-man backfield of Saquon Barkley, Will Shipley and Tank Bigsby. Dillon's next opportunity to suit up is Week 8 against the Giants on Sunday, Oct. 26.

Three touches in Week 6
Dillon carried the ball once for two yards and caught a pair of passes for 18 yards in Thursday's loss to the Giants.
Impact
Dillon received his first two targets of the year, but overall his workload remained minimal. He's yet to receive more than three touches or see the field for more than 10 offensive snaps in a game this season.

Two carries in loss
Dillon carried the ball twice for 12 yards in Sunday's loss to the Broncos.
Impact
Dillon has seen between five and 10 offensive snaps in all five games this season, never touching the ball more than three times. He's been efficient in that very small sample, averaging 5.3 yards on 11 total carries, but he would need an injury to Saquon Barkley to find his way to fantasy relevance.

Minor role again in Week 4
Dillon carried the ball three times for 17 yards in Sunday's 31-25 win over Tampa Bay.
Impact
Will Shipley returned from an oblique injury, but Dillon remained the No. 2 back behind Saquon Barkley, seeing the field for eight offensive snaps compared to Shipley's three. Unless Barkley gets hurt, however, Dillon is unlikely to see enough snaps to have much fantasy relevance.

Zero carries in Week 3
Dillon did not receive a carry or a target in Sunday's 33-26 win over the Rams.
Impact
Dillon received exactly three carries in each of the Eagles' first two games, averaging 8.5 offensive snaps. His already small role nearly dried up in Week 3, as he saw the field for just five offensive snaps and never touched the ball.

ROTOWIRE
Small role as Barkley's backup
Dillon was elevated to the No. 2 running back for Sunday's game against the Chiefs due to Will Shipley's rib injury but carried the ball just three times for 19 yards.
Impact
Dillon had at least 178 carries for three straight seasons with the Packers before missing 2024 with a neck injury, but his role in Philadelphia seems destined to be much smaller. He played just eight offensive snaps in the season opener and just nine in Week 2, carrying the ball just three times in each game. It would take an injury to Saquon Barkley for his role to significantly expand.

ROTOWIRE
Three carries after Shipley injury
Dillon rushed three times for 10 yards and wasn't targeted in Thursday's 24-20 win over the Cowboys.
Impact
Dillon didn't register a touch until the second half. He opened the game as the No. 3 running back behind Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley, but Shipley left the game due to a rib injury late in the first half, allowing Dillon to climb a rung on the depth chart. Dillon could hold onto a change-of-pace role against the Chiefs in Week 2 if Shipley doesn't play, but Barkley should continue to get the vast majority of touches among Philadelphia's running backs regardless.

Not slated to play Friday
Dillon isn't in line to play in Friday's preseason game at the Jets, EJ Smith of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Impact
After sitting out the 2024 season due to complications stemming from a stinger, Dillon joined the Eagles on a one-year contract in March. He then suited up for both of the team's first two exhibitions, totaling eight carries for 34 yards and four catches for 13 yards. He's been listed as Philadelphia's third RB on the unofficial depth chart behind Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley during training camp, which may not afford him much more than short-yardage work once Week 1 rolls around.

Minimal production Saturday
Dillon carried the ball three times for seven yards and lost 14 yards on his only reception in Saturday's 22-13 preseason loss to the Browns.
Impact
The former Packer got the start with Saquon Barkley and Will Shipley both held out, and Dillon played only one drive himself before turning the Eagles' backfield over to Montrell Johnson. The burly back's hold on a roster spot seems secure, despite his questionable decision to catch a deflected ball well behind the line of scrimmage rather than batting it down for an incompletion, but Dillon's biggest challenge will remain staying healthy after he missed the entire 2024 season due to neck issues. He should provide the thunder to Shipley's lightning on the rare occasions Barkley is off the field for Philadelphia.

Gains 54 yards off bench
Dillon took five carries for 27 yards and three catches for 27 yards in Thursday's preseason opener against Cincinnati.
Impact
Dillon repped ahead of Shipley in the first practice of training camp, but it seems the 2024 fourth-round pick has already moved ahead of the 27-year-old. While Dillon played well and got all his work in the first half, he didn't have any touches until Shipley had already finished his day (with eight touches for 52 yards on the first two drives). If there's any consolation for Dillon's backup case, it's the fact that Shipley didn't have much luck apart from a 38-yard gain on a perfectly blocked play, otherwise getting stuffed near the line.

ROTOWIRE
Ahead of Shipley on Day 1
Dillon got reps with the first-team offense before Will Shipley on Wednesday, Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia reports.
Impact
It probably doesn't mean much at this point, on the first day of training camp, with the Eagles initially deferring to Dillon's experience (597 carries in 60 regular-season games) over Shipley's familiarity (he was the team's third-string RB last year). Dillon seems to be back at full health after a neck injury last August ended his fifth season with the Packers before it even got started. He signed a one-year contract in Philadelphia this spring, getting less than $200,000 guaranteed but with a chance to replace Kenneth Gainwell (Steelers) as the team's No. 2 RB. While Shipley is a recent fourth-round pick and surely more nimble, Dillon's 240-plus-pound frame could have some value to the Eagles if Saquon Barkley were to miss time.
