Daniel Gafford - Making spot start Saturday Gafford will start Saturday's contest against Portland in place of Kristaps Porzingis (rest), Josh Robbins of The Athletic reports.
Impact Porzingis has played only three games since an extended absence, so Washington has elected to give him a rest day on the tail end of a back-to-back set. Gafford will consequently make his first start since March 4. He is averaging 9.4 points, 6.1 boards and 1.6 blocks as a starter this season.

Malik Monk - Probable again Monk (shoulder) is probable for Sunday's game against the Suns, Kyle Goon of The Orange County Register reports.
Impact Monk will presumably continue to fight through the sore shoulder. In his past six appearances, he's averaged 16.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals in 34.0 minutes.
