Raptors rookie Ja'Kobe Walter hits 3 with 0.5 seconds left for 114-113 win over slumping Magic

Ja’Kobe Walter swished a contested 3-pointer with 0.5 seconds remaining and the Toronto Raptors edged the Orlando Magic 114-113 after blowing a 12-point lead in the fourth quarter

Sees just six minutes Da Silva closed with two points (1-1 FG), two rebounds and one block across six minutes during Sunday's 104-102 loss to the Raptors.
Impact Da Silva has seen his role decrease steadily with the Magic mostly healthy these days. In his last four appearances, he's seen six or fewer minutes in three of those games. He's a tough sell outside of dynasty formats at the moment.
MARCH 3, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Five points in Rising Stars event da Silva finished with five points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal in 10 minutes during Team Tim's 40-34 loss to Team Chris in Friday's Rising Stars semifi...
Impact Despite coming off the bench and perhaps not being the biggest name on Team Tim, da Silva produced the second-highest scoring output on the squad behind teammate Gradey Dick's 12 points. da Silva has made an impact during his rookie season with the Magic, starting in 35 of his 52 games, largely due to the injuries to star forwards Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner earlier this season. The 2024 first-rounder is averaging 8.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.2 three-pointers in 24.9 minutes per game in 2024-25.

Rising Star: Rookie season takes Colorado's Tristan da Silva to NBA All-Star weekend (copy) (copy) The bumpy flight into Denver felt familiar for Tristan da Silva. So did stepping off the plane and smelling the crisp mile high air.

Returning to bench role Da Silva will come off the bench Monday night against the Warriors, Mason Williams of SI.com reports.
Impact Da Silva drew a spot start Saturday against the Jazz while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope received a night to rest, but it'll be back to the bench for Da Silva on Monday. He's averaging 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals in his last four appearances as a reserve.
FEBRUARY 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Da Silva will replace Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (rest) in the starting five Saturday. The rookie forward is averaging 8.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 29.1 minutes across his previous 10 starts.

Victor Wembanyama, Zach Edey headline rosters for NBA Rising Stars games
Scores 17 points in loss Da Silva racked up 17 points (6-13 FG, 5-8 3Pt), six rebounds, five assists and one block over 34 minutes during Monday's 125-119 double-overtime loss to the Heat.
Impact Da Silva had a terrific showing Monday, though his stats were inflated a bit by the double overtime. The rookie has been pretty sporadic in terms of production for most of January, averaging 8.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 2.1 assists, 0.7 steals and 1.4 three-pointers over his last 14 outings.
JANUARY 28, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Provides spark in return to bench Da Silva notched 16 points (5-8 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 4-4 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one steal across 29 minutes during Thursday's 101-79 loss to the Trail Blazers.
Impact Da Silva returned to the Magic bench due to the return of Franz Wagner (oblique), but still put up strong numbers while leading all second unit players in scoring and finishing as one of two Orlando players with 15 or more points in a losing effort. Da Silva has recorded at least 15 points in nine contests, his second while coming off the bench. He has now posted at least 15 points and five boards on five occasions.
JANUARY 24, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Retreats to bench Da Silva isn't in the starting five for Thursday's game versus the Trail Blazers.
Impact Da Silva will be replaced by Franz Wagner in the starting lineup Thursday. Da Silva is averaging 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 16.6 minutes across his seven appearances coming off the bench this season.
JANUARY 23, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Records nine points Da Silva accumulated nine points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one block across 38 minutes during Tuesday's 109-93 loss to the Raptors.
Impact Da Silva was forced to log a ton of minutes with Orlando shorthanded, and Jonathan Isaac (illness) played only five minutes before leaving the game for good. The rookie forward is averaging 7.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 0.6 steals and 1.0 three-pointers in 11 January outings.
JANUARY 22, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Available to play Da Silva (illness) will be available for Wednesday's game against the Bucks, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact Da Silva left Sunday's game against the 76ers in the first quarter and did not return. He was able to practice on Tuesday, however, with coach Jamahl Mosley noting that he was feeling better. He'll likely see his usual minutes Wednesday night.
JANUARY 14, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Exits Sunday's game Da Silva (undisclosed) went to the locker room in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the 76ers, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact Da Silva was replaced by Anthony Black at the 10:59 mark of the first quarter, and it's unclear why the former headed to the locker room. Black and Cole Anthony should see an increase in minutes off the bench for as long as da Silva is sidelined.
JANUARY 12, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
First career double-double Friday Da Silva accumulated 16 points (6-13 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 10 rebounds and two assists in 40 minutes during Friday's 109-106 loss to the Bucks.
Impact The 18th overall pick in the 2024 Draft collected his first career double-double, but the more encouraging takeaway from da Silva's performance was that he kept his starting role and didn't see his usage decline significantly even though Paolo Banchero was back in the lineup for the first time since Oct. 30. That could change when Gary Harris (hamstring) gets healthy as well, but for now da Silva's spot seems fairly secure. Since moving into Orlando's starting five back on Dec. 8, the 23-year-old Colorado product has averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 boards, 2.0 assists and 1.5 threes while playing 30.7 minutes over 15 contests.
JANUARY 11, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Struggles in loss da Silva closed with six points (2-9 FG, 0-5 3Pt, 2-2 FT), nine rebounds and two assists over 24 minutes during Thursday's 104-89 loss to the Timberwolves.
Impact da Silva continues to fill in for Paolo Banchero, who is nearing his return to the floor for the Magic. However, Thursday's performance against the Timberwolves was forgettable, as he couldn't get it going offensively, missing all five three-point attempts. He did grab nine rebounds but didn't play well overall.
JANUARY 10, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Scores career-high 25 points Da Silva racked up 25 points (9-13 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two steals across 37 minutes during Friday's 106-97 win over Toronto.
Impact Da Silva has been forced to embrace a more relevant role than envisioned in his rookie year, but he's been delivering and stepping up when needed. The former Colorado standout established a new career-high mark in scoring Friday, but this outing solidifies his presence as a reliable scoring option for the Magic. He's scored at least 15 points in six of his last nine games, averaging 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game in that stretch.
JANUARY 4, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
All-around showcase in win Da Silva racked up 21 points (8-15 FG, 4-9 3Pt, 1-1 FT), six rebounds, seven assists and one block over 35 minutes during Sunday's 102-101 win over the Nets.
Impact Da Silva led the way for Orlando in a narrow victory Sunday, leading all Magic players in scoring, threes made and assists while also providing a spark on the glass in an all-around showing. Da Silva set a new season high in scoring, having surpassed the 20-point mark twice this year. He also set a new season high in assists while hauling in his second-highest rebound total.
DECEMBER 30, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores 18 points against Miami Da Silva logged 18 points (7-12 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal over 39 minutes during Thursday's 89-88 loss to the Heat.
Impact Da Silva played a game-high 39 minutes Thursday, and he finished as Orlando's second-leading scorer behind Jalen Suggs (29). Da Silva has started in each of the Magic's last six games due to the absence of Franz Wagner (oblique), and he has scored in double digits in four of those contests. Over that span, da Silva has averaged 14.2 points on 47.8 percent shooting, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 31.3 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Strong from deep as top scorer da Silva closed Monday's 108-104 victory over the Celtics with 18 points (6-11 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), three rebounds and one steal in 36 minutes.
Impact da Silva shined offensively in Monday's contest, leading all players in scoring and threes made while also pitching in on the glass in a winning effort. da Silva set a new season high in threes made, having posted at least 15 points in four contests this year.
DECEMBER 24, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Scores career-high 20 points Da Silva supplied 20 points (9-17 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in 32 minutes during Sunday's 100-91 loss to New York.
Impact Da Silva had been pretty quiet in recent games, but exploded for a career-high 20 points in the loss Sunday. The Magic are very shorthanded at the moment, so fantasy managers will want to watch da Silva closely in case he catches fire. Through seven December outings, he's averaging 7.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.7 three-pointers in 20.3 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 16, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Starting sans Wagner Da Silva will enter the starting lineup in Sunday's game against the Suns, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact The rookie will step in for Franz Wagner (oblique) Sunday, who will be out for a minimum of four weeks. Da Silva has started in 14 matchups thus far, during which he has averaged 7.4 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.8 assists across 26.5 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 8, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Back to bench Da Silva is part of the second unit for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
Impact Da Silva drew a spot start Tuesday due to Goga Bitadze sitting, but with Bitadze back in action, Da Silva will return to the bench. Da Silva is averaging 7.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 1.7 assists across 24.2 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Gets starting nod Tuesday Da Silva will enter the starting lineup in Tuesday's game against the Knicks.
Impact The rookie will reprise his role in the starting five with Goga Bitadze (ankle) sidelined. Da Silva has started in 13 regular-season outings thus far, during which he has averaged 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 26.8 minutes per game.
DECEMBER 3, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Coming off bench in Carter's return Da Silva will come off the bench for Wednesday's game against the Bulls.
Impact With Wendell Carter making his return from a nearly-month-long absence due to a foot injury, da Silva will be shifted back to the bench. The rookie showed some flashes as a starter, averaging 7.3 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 26.8 minutes.
NOVEMBER 27, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Efficient in victory Da Silva notched 12 points (4-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes during Thursday's 119-118 victory over the Lakers.
Impact Da Silva scored double-digit points for the second straight game Thursday. With Paolo Banchero (oblique), da Silva has started in Orlando's last 11 contests. Over that span, the rookie forward is averaging 7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 27.5 minutes.
