Jarred Vanderbilt - Logs 21 minutes in starting role Vanderbilt totaled six points (3-8 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 0-4 FT), eight rebounds and three steals in 21 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.
Impact Vanderbilt demonstrated the full range of his fantasy game Tuesday, both good and bad. Projecting forward, he should be a solid source of boards and steals but is likely to hurt you in multiple other areas, such as free throw efficiency and scoring. Fantasy managers know what they are getting when drafting him, meaning he should only be taken when suited to a certain build.

Lauri Markkanen - Logs double-double in loss Markkanen closed with 18 points (6-13 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds and one assist in 26 minutes during Tuesday's preseason loss to San Antonio.
Impact Markkanen did exactly what was expected, flirting with a double-double and adding a pair of triples, while offering very little else. Despite a somewhat empty fantasy stat set, Markkanen is in a perfect spot to thrive, so managers are going to have to start reaching into the middle rounds of some leagues to secure his services.

Walker Kessler - Blocks four shots Tuesday Kessler has 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-4 FT), seven rebounds, four blocks and one assist in 25 minutes during Tuesday's loss to the Spurs.
Impact Kessler was fantastic in the loss, flashing his tremendous defensive upside. While he is slated to come off the bench behind Kelly Olynyk, there is certainly a chance his role expands as the season progresses. At this stage, he is nothing more than a late-round flier; however, his game translates very well when it comes to fantasy production, making him a name to monitor moving forward.

Jakob Poeltl - Subdued effort Tuesday Poeltl compiled just six points (2-2 FG, 2-6 FT), five rebounds, five assists and one block in 21 minutes during Tuesday's 111-104 victory over the Jazz.
Impact Poeltl returned to the lineup after sitting out the Spurs' previous game, logging just 21 minutes as the team turned to their bench late in the game. While he has been far from impressive during the preseason, all signs point to Poeltl having another strong season. His upside in blocks alone makes him a strong option in the middle rounds of all drafts.

Tre Jones - Another solid performance in win Jones totaled 13 points (4-5 FG, 5-5 FT), four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 21 minutes during Tuesday's preseason win over Utah.
Impact Jones provided another steady performance Tuesday, giving fantasy managers a glimpse of what to expect this season. If there was anything to complain about, it would be that his assist numbers have been down slightly compared to last year. He is locked in as the starting point guard and should be a nice target toward the back end of drafts.
OCTOBER 12, 2022 • ROTOWIRE
Devin Vassell - Drops efficient 24 points Tuesday Vassell had 24 points (10-15 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT) and four rebounds in 22 minutes during Tuesday's win over the Jazz.
Impact Vassell led the Spurs with 24 points, coming on an efficient 10-of-15 from the floor. Unfortunately, he was unable to add any meaningful peripheral numbers, making this somewhat of an empty night. With the team building for the future, Vassell is locked in as a key part of their rotation, making him a strong consideration in the middle rounds of standard drafts.
