Malaki Branham - Will start Thursday
Branham will start for the Spurs on Thursday, Law Murray of The Athletic reports.
Impact
Branham will make his fifth start of the season Thursday, replacing Jeremy Sochan (quadriceps) in the starting lineup. Branham is averaging 3.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists as a starter in his career.

Stanley Johnson - Active Thursday
Johnson (wrist) will suit up for Thursday's game against the Clippers, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Impact
Johnson was handed a questionable designation Thursday with right wrist soreness, but the issue will not prevent him from playing. With Josh Richardson (knee) and Jeremy Sochan (quad) sitting out, Johnson could be in line for a few extra minutes. However, he has failed to cross the five-point threshold in five of his last six contests.

ROTOWIRE
Josh Richardson - Out Thursday
Richardson (knee) won't play Thursday against the Clippers, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Impact
Richardson will sit out on the second leg of the Spurs' back-to-back as he deals with right knee soreness. With the 29-year-old unavailable, more minutes will be in store for Malaki Branham and Stanley Johnson (wrist) on Thursday. Richardson's next chance to return to the court will be Saturday against Phoenix.

ROTOWIRE
Jeremy Sochan - Officially out
Sochan (quad) will not play in Thursday's game against the Clippers, Paul Garcia of ProjectSpurs.com reports.
Impact
Sochan was initially tabbed doubtful, so his absence was to be expected Thursday. In his stead, Keita Bates-Diop, Isaiah Roby and Doug McDermott will likely see more minutes. Sochan's next chance to play will come Saturday against Phoenix.

Stanley Johnson - Questionable Thursday
Johnson is questionable for Thursday's game against the Clippers due to right wrist soreness.
Impact
Johnson was held scoreless for just the second time this season during Wednesday's loss to the Lakers, and it's possible that his wrist issue contributed to his struggles. He hasn't missed a game since making his Spurs debut in mid-December, but it's unclear whether he'll be available Thursday.

Josh Richardson - Questionable with knee soreness
Richardson is questionable for Thursday's tilt against the Clippers due to right knee soreness.
Impact
The veteran struggled with his shot during Wednesday's loss to the Lakers, going 3-for-12 from the field for seven points, though he added seven boards and three dimes in 25 minutes. If Richardson sits out Thursday, Malaki Branham, Stanley Johnson (wrist) and Blake Wesley could claim more minutes.

ROTOWIRE
Jeremy Sochan - Unlikely to play Thursday
Sochan is doubtful for Thursday's matchup against the Clippers due to a bruised left quad.
Impact
Sochan has been on a tear lately, averaging 15.8 points on 53/58/82 shooting, 6.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists in 29.0 minutes across the past five games. However, a bruised quad suffered in Wednesday's loss to the Lakers will likely break his streak of 22 straight appearances. In his presumed absence, more minutes could be in store for Isaiah Roby, Keita Bates-Diop and Doug McDermott.

ROTOWIRE
Romeo Langford - Still out Thursday
Langford (hip) is out for Thursday's game against the Clippers.
Impact
Langford sat out Wednesday against the Lakers and will remain sidelined for the second half of the back-to-back set. Josh Richardson (knee) and Doug McDermott are candidates to see increased playing time against the Clippers once again.

Zach Collins - Double-digit scoring continues
Collins posted 16 points (6-10 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 4-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals across 24 minutes during Wednesday's 113-104 loss to the Lakers.
Impact
Collins' play this season has been full of peaks and valleys, but he's on a three-game streak of double-digit scoring, averaging 14.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 23.3 minutes during this stretch. With the assumption that the Spurs trade starting center Jakob Poeltl before the deadline, Collins could see an expanded role down the stretch. However, it's a bit concerning that his shot blocking has faded. The big man has just one total swat in his past 11 games. Previously, he was averaging 0.9 per contest.

Blake Wesley - Recalled by San Antonio
Wesley was recalled from the G League's Austin Spurs on Thursday, Jeff Garcia of KENS 5 San Antonio reports.
Impact
Wesley spent the last few days in the G League but will provide additional depth for the parent club with Romeo Langford (hip) banged up. Over four NBA appearances this year, Wesley has averaged 5.8 points in 9.8 minutes per game.

Jeremy Sochan - Dominant inside during loss
Sochan registered 14 points (6-14 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), seven rebounds, three assists and one steal in 27 minutes during Wednesday's 113-104 loss to the Lakers.
Impact
Sochan left Anthony Davis flat-footed a few times in the loss, as the rookie slashed his way in for a couple of dunks. It wasn't his best shooting performance, but Sochan traded in his sharpshooting for a standout night on defense. The first-round pick has already demonstrated how deadly he is from the perimeter, and Wednesday's showing indicated that he may be putting it all together on a more consistent basis.

ROTOWIRE
Keita Bates-Diop - Provides offensive spark for Spurs
Bates-Diop amassed 11 points (5-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt), seven rebounds, two assists, one block and two steals across 25 minutes during Wednesday's 113-104 loss to the Lakers.
Impact
Bates-Diop's final numbers were a little surprising because he seemed to be always active in the loss, making plays everywhere on the court. The decision to start Bates-Diop with Romeo Langford (hip) out was a wise one, and it went so well that Langford will be looking over his shoulder upon his return. The Ohio State product's dynamic play will almost assuredly earn him more playing time.

Keldon Johnson - Leads team in scoring
Johnson finished Wednesday's 113-104 loss to the Lakers with 25 points (9-20 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT) and five rebounds in 33 minutes.
Impact
Other Spurs seemed to make more highlight-worthy plays, but Johnson was in the thick of it for the entire evening, nailing shots from long range in key moments throughout the game. Johnson recently broke his career scoring record with 36 points against the Nets, and in seven appearances after a two-game absence, he averaged 23.6 points and 5.1 rebounds while shooting 43.1 percent from the floor.

Keita Bates-Diop - Starting versus Lakers
Bates-Diop will enter the first unit for Wednesday's game against the Lakers.
Impact
Bates-Diop will reap the benefits of Romeo Langford's (hip) absence, taking his spot in the starting lineup. In 12 games as a starter, Bates-Diop has averaged 11.8 points and 4.3 rebounds over 26.6 minutes.
