Jabari Smith Jr. - Questionable to play Wednesday Smith (ankle) is questionable to play Wednesday against the Wizards, Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Impact The rookie hopes to return from a two-game absence due to a right ankle sprain. Smith is averaging 11.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game in January, and if he can't go against Washington, then Tari Eason would probably remain in the starting unit.

Taurean Prince - Out again Wednesday Prince (ankle) is out for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Impact Prince will miss a second straight game due to a left ankle sprain. Naz Reid, Nathan Knight and Matt Ryan shared the backup frontcourt minutes in Prince's prior absence and figure to see an increased role again Wednesday, especially if Rudy Gobert (groin) is downgraded to out.

Rudy Gobert - Questionable at New Orleans Gobert (groin) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Pelicans.
Impact After a three-game absence, Gobert returned Monday against the Rockets to post 15 points, 16 boards, four blocks and one assist in 36 minutes. However, he's feeling sore and may need to take a game off. If that's the case, Naz Reid, Nathan Knight and Luka Garza should be in line for more run.

Karl-Anthony Towns - Without return timeline Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said Saturday that Towns (calf) has "no timetable" to return to game action, Dane Moore of 'The Dane Moore NBA Podcast' reports.
Impact Finch's comments came two days after Towns revealed during a Twitch stream that he's been sidelined since Nov. 28 with a Grade 3 right calf strain. The injury appears to be more severe than initial reports suggested, with Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN having reported at the time Towns was diagnosed with the calf strain that the 27-year-old big man was facing a projected recovery timeline of 4-to-6 weeks. Towns' absence is now closing in on two months, and though he disclosed in his Twitch stream that his rehab is going well, he didn't go into specifics regarding when he might be able to resume full-contact work in practices. If Towns cannot accelerate his activity in practice over the next week or two, he'll likely end up being sidelined through the All-Star break.

Jabari Smith Jr. - Hopes to play Wednesday Smith (ankle) said Tuesday that he hope's to play in Wednesday's contest against the Wizards, Adam Spolane of Sports Radio 610 Houston reports.
Impact The rookie sat out Monday's game, marking a second straight absence, due to a right ankle sprain. However, it appears he was able to practice Tuesday and will attempt to suit up Wednesday. Further clarity on his availability will surface when Houston releases its next injury report.

Kyle Anderson - Limited by foul trouble in loss Anderson amassed two points (1-3 FG, 0-1 3Pt) and one assist across 12 minutes during Monday's 119-114 loss to the Rockets.
Impact Due almost entirely to early foul trouble -- he picked up five fouls in roughly nine minutes of action -- Anderson saw his fewest minutes since leaving the second game of the season early with an injury. Over his past two contests, he's totaled just two points (1-10 FG), seven rebounds and three assists after he averaged 12.0 points, 7.8 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 32.4 minutes across his previous five appearances. Anderson's recent slump is certainly concerning, but playing time hasn't been the issue. Over his last 11 games, he's averaging north of 32 minutes per contest. Barring another foul-plagued night, Anderson's workload should return to its normal level Wednesday at New Orleans.
