Impact The veteran center racked up his 41st double-double of the season in 58 games, putting him fifth in the NBA in that category behind Domantas Sabonis (55), Nikola Jokic (49), Anthony Davis (47) and Giannis Antetokounmpo (47). Gobert also recorded multiple blocks for the fifth straight game and the ninth time in his last 12, and over that latter stretch he's averaging 14.8 points, 13.3 boards, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 assists while shooting 66.3 percent from the floor.

Impact The fourth-year forward wound up leading Minnesota in scoring on the night, in part due to Anthony Edwards (personal) leaving the game at halftime. McDaniels set new season highs in points and made three-pointers, and Friday's performance was the first time since Jan. 17 he'd topped 20 points. Despite a fairly consistent role in the rotation, the 23-year-old's production has been anything but -- in 12 games since the beginning of February he's scored in single digits six times, including a goose egg against the Trail Blazers on Feb. 13.

If Anthony Edwards (personal) is unavailable for Sunday's matchup against the Clippers, Conley may be asked to handle more offensive usage than usual.

Joins Minnesota via 10-day The Timberwolves announced Saturday that they are planning to sign Warren to a 10-day contract, pending a physical early next week, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

Impact Warren last played in the NBA during the 2022-23 campaign, when he started the season with Brooklyn before being traded to the Suns. In his prime, the 6-foot-8 forward could score in bunches, but he'll likely serve as an offensive spark plug off the bench during his stint with Minnesota. The Timberwolves have needed wing depth all season, and that has become more apparent with Kyle Anderson (knee) sidelined recently.

Despite a lackluster night from the field, the 28-year-old was still able to contribute with five assists, his most in a game this season. With Jordan McLaughlin averaging a career low 8.8 minutes per game, expect Morris to continue providing solid depth behind Mike Conley.

Reid has scored in double digits in eight of his last 10 appearances, averaging 12.6 points and shooting 37.5 percent from three-point range in that span.

Even if his numbers are not the same ones from the previous two campaigns, he remains an elite big man who must be rostered in all formats.
