Jase Richardson - Classified as day-to-day Richardson (back) is considered day-to-day, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact Richardson exited Friday's 136-115 preseason win over Miami due to back soreness. While he hasn't been officially ruled out for Opening Night against Atlanta, it appears there's a chance he won't be available for that one. With Noah Penda (hamstring) ruled out and Franz Wagner (shoulder) dealing with an injury, Tristan da Silva and Anthony Black could see more minutes.

Noah Penda - Suffers partial hamstring tear Penda was diagnosed with a partially torn right hamstring Saturday, Jason Beede of the Orlando Sentinel reports.
Impact Penda suffered the hamstring tear in Friday's 136-115 preseason win over the Heat. It's unknown how long the injury will keep the 21-year-old off the floor. However, since it's a different injury than the one he suffered in the same hamstring during training camp, the team may take a cautious approach regarding his return. Penda, the No. 32 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, averaged 3.8 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists over 12.8 minutes per outing in 59 regular-season games in 2025-26. While he's not expected to be a mainstay in the rotation throughout the 2026-27 campaign, his absence could open up a few minutes for Tristan Da Silva.

Giannis Antetokounmpo - Expected to play Wednesday Antetokounmpo (rest) is expected to play in Wednesday's regular-season opener against the Timberwolves.
Impact After sitting out Friday's preseason finale, Antetokounmpo is gearing up for his regular-season debut with Miami. Over three preseason appearances in 2026, the superstar forward averaged 15.7 points, 7.7 rebounds, 6.7 assists and 1.7 combined steals-plus-blocks in 18.6 minutes per showing.

Paolo Banchero - Another 24-point effort Banchero finished with 24 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 13-16 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and one block in 26 minutes during Friday's 136-115 preseason win over Miami.
Impact Banchero dropped 24 points for the second straight game, impressively getting to the line 16 times. As a high-volume scorer, Banchero's inefficiency has been a major talking point throughout his career. Nights like this give us a glimpse of what he can do when his shots are falling. However, managers are right to err on the side of caution when considering him in drafts. For those in category leagues, he should be looked at in the fifth round, at the earliest.

Nikola Vucevic - Encouraging performance Friday Vucevic tallied 13 points (5-11 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 3-4 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 23 minutes during Friday's 136-115 preseason win over the Heat.
Impact Vuvevic returned after sitting out the previous preseason game, logging 23 minutes as the backup center. While it does appear as though Wendell Carter will remain the starting center in Orlando, Vucevic could still find himself playing meaningful minutes on a nightly basis. Goga Bitadze will almost certainly have something to say about that, making the center rotation a tricky one to project with any confidence.

Nick Richards - Flirts with double-double Richards totaled nine points (2-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-4 FT), 11 rebounds and three assists in 18 minutes during Friday's 136-115 preseason loss to the Magic.
Impact Richards continues to stake his claim for the backup center position, falling one point short of a double-double. He has put together a serviceable preseason, particularly on the glass. There isn't a lot of competition when it comes to backup minutes, meaning Richards could flirt with 15-17 minutes per game. Anyone in deeper formats could consider him with a late-round pick when in need of rebounds.

Ryan Conwell - Leads team with 21 points Conwell closed with 21 points (9-17 FG, 3-7 3Pt), seven assists, one rebound and one steal in 30 minutes during Friday's 136-115 preseason loss to Orlando.
Impact Conwell was arguably the best player on the floor for the Heat, continuing what has been a fantastic preseason. Everything he has done thus far points to him at least being considered for a nightly role, albeit in a limited capacity. While he isn't worth drafting at this point, he is a player to watch early in the season, especially with Klay Thompson struggling to hit the side of a barn right now.
