Impact The Jazz were bracing for bad news after Ingles required assistance off the court Sunday, and the MRI confirmed the team's worst fears. After finishing as the runner-up to teammate Jordan Clarkson in the NBA's Sixth Man Award balloting a year ago, Ingles had taken a step back this season before suffering the knee injury, averaging 7.2 points, 3.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds in 24.9 minutes. He was also shooting a career-worst 34.7 percent from beyond the arc. Even so, his absence for the remainder of the season is a major blow to the Jazz's depth, as the team will now have to rely more heavily on the likes of Trent Forrest, Danuel House (COVID-19 protocols) and Jared Butler to fill minutes on the wing. According to Wojnarowski, Ingles is expected to undergo surgery within the next couple of weeks. Based on the timing of his procedure, Ingles -- who is ticketed for free agency this offseason -- is expected to miss a large portion of the 2022-23 season as well.

Impact Ingles had to be helped off the court during Sunday's game against Minnesota after he sustained a non-contact knee injury. He was held scoreless (0-3 FG, 0-3 3Pt) with three rebounds and three assists in 12 minutes prior to his departure, and he'll be unable to return to the contest. A better idea of his status should be revealed based on the results of his MRI.

Helped off with knee injury Ingles was helped off the court during the second quarter of Sunday's game against Minnesota due to an apparent left knee injury, Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic reports.

Impact Ingles' knee appeared to buckle on a drive to the basket, and he immediately fell to the ground in pain. A stretcher was initially brought out for the veteran, but he eventually got up under his own power and was helped to the locker room. Based on how the injury looked, Ingles could likely be facing an extended absence, but at this time nothing is official. With that said, it's safe to assume Ingles will not return to Sunday's game. Per the Jazz's official Twitter account, Ingles will undergo an MRI on the knee in Salt Lake City on Monday.

Impact This is the first we're hearing of the injury, which apparently occurred during Sunday night's narrow loss to the Warriors.
