INJURIES

Out with ankle sprain Mashack is out for Friday's game against the Celtics due to a sprained left ankle.
Impact Friday is set to be a second consecutive absence for Mashack, whose next chance to play comes on a short turnaround Saturday versus the Hornets. His absence should keep each of Cam Spencer, Rayan Rupert and Javon Small in a significant role in the backcourt against Boston.
MARCH 19 • ROTOWIRE
Won't play Wednesday Mashack (ankle) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against Denver.
Impact Mashack has been downgraded from questionable to out for Wednesday's contest. The rookie guard's absence leaves Javon Small, Walter Clayton and Cam Spencer as the Grizzlies' top bench guards. Mashack's next chance to play will come Friday against Boston in what will be the opening leg of a back-to-back set.
MARCH 18 • ROTOWIRE
Iffy for Wednesday Mashack (ankle) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.
Impact Mashack is dealing with an ankle sprain, which he could test out during Wednesday's pregame warmups before the Grizzlies reach a decision on his status. The likes of Javon Small, Walter Clayton and Cam Spencer could all have an opportunity to be more involved in the backcourt if Mashack cannot play.
MARCH 17 • ROTOWIRE
Modest performance again Monday Mashack provided three points (1-6 FG, 1-2 3Pt), six rebounds, two assists, one block and one steal in 26 minutes during Monday's 132-107 loss to Chicago.
Impact Despite being one of the more consistent members of the Memphis backcourt, at least in terms of playing time, Mashak continues to offer very little in the way of fantasy upside. In seven appearances over the past two weeks, he has averaged just 6.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.0 steals in 26.4 minutes per game. At this point, there are likely more enticing options available on your waiver wire.
MARCH 17 • ROTOWIRE
Solid workload in loss Mashack notched seven points (3-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, three blocks and two steals over 31 minutes during Monday's 126-115 loss to Brooklyn.
Impact With the Grizzlies missing so many key players due to injuries and maintenance, Mashack was given a considerable workload Monday and put together a solid fantasy line. Memphis' rotation is likely to be a mess on a nightly basis, and that could make many players like Mashack hard to trust in fantasy.

Holiday and Grant power the Trail Blazers to a 122-114 win over the Grizzlies

Jrue Holiday had 35 points and 11 assists, and Jerami Grant added 30 points as the Portland Trail Blazers snapped a two-game skid with a 122-114 win over the Memphis Grizzlies
MARCH 5 • Associated Press
Not suiting up Tuesday Mashack (two-way) will be inactive for Tuesday's game against the Timberwolves.
Impact With Cedric Coward (knee) and Ty Jerome (thigh) returning Tuesday following multi-game absences, Memphis will opt to hold out Mashack and fellow two-way player Javon Small in an effort to preserve their availability. Mashack is inactive for the second time in 12 games, after he appeared in each of the other 10 contests while averaging 6.8 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.0 steals, 1.6 assists, 0.8 blocks and 0.7 three-pointers in 23.8 minutes. After Tuesday's contest, the defensive-minded guard will be eligible to suit up for 16 of the Grizzlies' remaining 22 games.
MARCH 4 • ROTOWIRE
Inactive for Wednesday's loss Mashack (two-way) was inactive Wednesday in the Grizzlies' 133-112 loss to the Warriors.
Impact Mashack had been a staple in the rotation lately for the injury-plagued Grizzlies, but with Ty Jerome (illness) returning from a one-game absence Wednesday and with 10-day signee Rayan Rupert entering the rotation, Memphis opted to keep the rookie second-round pick in street clothes. The 23-year-old had appeared in each of the Grizzlies' last eight games, averaging 7.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.4 steals, 1.8 assists and 0.9 three-pointers in 24.0 minutes per contest. While he remains signed to a two-way contract, Mashack is eligible to play in 18 of the Grizzlies' final 25 games, so expect Memphis to make him inactive on at least a few more occasions when the team has enough bodies at guard and on the wing.
FEBRUARY 26 • ROTOWIRE
Sees 22 minutes in loss Mashack closed Monday's 123-114 loss to the Kings with four points (2-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt), one rebound, one assist and one steal over 22 minutes.
Impact The Grizzlies have a ton of injuries right now, and Mashack has seen an uptick in minutes as a result. Over his last four outings, he's seen 24.4 minutes per contest with averages of 6.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.0 blocks on 31.3 percent shooting from the field.
FEBRUARY 24 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Wednesday Mashack is part of the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against Denver.
Impact Mashack has played 20 or more minutes in four straight games for the short-handed Grizzlies, and Wednesday's game will mark his second start during that span. He's been stellar on the defensive end, totaling 14 steals in those four games, and he's fresh off a career-high 17 points Monday against Golden State.
FEBRUARY 12 • ROTOWIRE
Makes impact on both ends Monday Mashack tallied 17 points (8-10 FG, 1-2 3Pt), two rebounds, two steals and one assist across 22 minutes Monday in the Grizzlies' 114-113 loss to the Warriors.
Impact With the Grizzlies being hit by injuries and with the availability of multiple players in flux in recent days after Memphis overhauled its roster ahead of last week's trade deadline, Mashack has been able to get a foothold in the rotation of late. Though he's listed at just 6-foot-3 and 197 pounds, Mashack's 6-foot-9 wingspan has allowed him to play on the wing, where he's quickly established a reputation as a disruptive defender. While playing at least 20 minutes in each of the past four games, Mashack has averaged an impressive 3.5 steals per contest. The rookie second-round pick typically isn't as involved on the offensive end, but thanks to some red-hot shooting Monday, he was able to establish a new career-high scoring haul. Mashack's recent production puts him on the radar as a streaming option for steals, though he could be at risk of falling out of the rotation or seeing his minutes get cut significantly if Memphis gets at least one or two of Cedric Coward -- who left Monday's game early with a knee injury -- Santi Aldama (knee) or Walter Clayton (knee) back in action for Wednesday's tilt with the Nuggets.

Returns to bench role Mashack will be deployed off the bench Monday night against Golden State, Damichael Cole of The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
Impact Mashack drew his first start of the season Saturday while the Grizzlies were severely shorthanded, but he'll bump back to a bench role Monday. The Tennessee product hasn't had much involvement when Memphis is healthy, as he's averaging 2.1 points, 1.1 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 9.8 minutes per game across 10 outings this season.
FEBRUARY 10 • ROTOWIRE
Starting Saturday Mashack will start against Portland on Saturday.
Impact With the Grizzlies extremely shorthanded in the second leg of this back-to-back set, the two-way player will make his first career start. Mashack has logged 20-plus minutes in back-to-back games, averaging 3.5 points, 3.0 assists, 3.0 steals and 2.5 rebounds in 21.5 minutes per tilt during that span.
FEBRUARY 8 • ROTOWIRE
Rare appearance Wednesday Mashack closed Wednesday's 129-125 win over the Kings with two points (1-2 FG), four rebounds, five assists and three steals across 23 minutes.
Impact Mashack appeared for the first time in the past 12 games, logging a career-high 23 minutes in the process. Memphis appears to be headed for a rebuild, potentially opening up playing time for a multitude of young pieces. While we aren't running to add Maskack, he is someone to keep an eye on moving forward.

Signs two-way pact The Grizzlies signed Mashack to a two-way contract Sunday, Shams Charania of ESPN reports.
Impact The No. 59 overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, Mashack began the season with the G League's Memphis Hustle and will now latch on with the organization on a two-way pact. Over five appearances with the Hustle thus far, he has averaged 7.6 points, 5.4 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 3.2 steals in 31.3 minutes per contest. In a corresponding move, the Grizzlies waived PJ Hall.
NOVEMBER 16, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Moves past hamstring injury Mashack (hamstring) is not on the Grizzlies' injury report for Memphis' season opener against the Pelicans on Wednesday.
Impact Mashack had nursed a hamstring injury during the Las Vegas Summer League, but it appears that he's returned to health. The Grizzlies acquired his draft rights back in July but never signed the second-rounder to a deal during training camp, so the expectation is that he'll begin the campaign with the G League's Memphis Hustle.

The Tennessee product averaged 6.0 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals and 1.5 assists in 28.2 minutes per game over 38 appearances during his final collegiate season. The 22-year-old isn't expected to take on a meaningful role for the Grizzlies in 2024-25, but he'll aim to make an impression on the organization during Summer League play.
JULY 8, 2025 • ROTOWIRE
Headed to Memphis Updating a previous report, the Grizzlies announced Sunday that they have acquired the draft rights to Mashack from the Warriors.
Impact Selected No. 59 overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, Mashack was part of a historic seven-team trade, with his draft rights initially sent from Houston to Golden State.
