Impact Tuesday will mark Eason's 19th game missed due to injury, but his recent participation in basketball activities is an encouraging sign he may return soon. Jae'Sean Tate and Jeff Green will continue to see extended playing time until Eason returns.

Fred VanVleet - Out with adductor strain VanVleet has been ruled out for Tuesday's game against the Pacers due to a left adductor strain, and his return timetable is unknown, Ben DuBose of USA Today reports.
Impact Depending on the severity, this injury could keep VanVleet out for weeks, but he'll be considered day-to-day until the team releases an update. In VanVleet's absence, Cam Whitmore, Amen Thompson and Aaron Holiday could see increased run, but Jalen Green would presumably take over as the primary point guard.

Impact There weren't many positives in this game for Houston, and Brooks certainly wasn't one of them. He's been slumping in three straight appearances, hitting 33.0 percent of his shots to go with 8.7 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.7 three-pointers.

Impact This was the third dud in a row for Smith as the Rockets dropped their second game out of their past three. Smith has produced averages of 4.7 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.0 three-pointers on 26.3 percent shooting in that span, his worst stretch of the season by a mile.
